My family and I recently started eating Dominos because it's closer to our home than Pizza Hut. Saturday I decided to take advantage of the $9.99 any toppings deal they were offering through 3/2. I ordered two pizzas one with a garlic parm sauce and the other with the Alfredo sauce.
I ate a single slice of both pizzas after returning home. The pizzas were really dry as I could barely taste the sauce. I contacted the location by phone to let them know about my order. I asked if they could go ahead and start me two more (because the wait time here is ridiculous) and he told me no, they'd have to see the pizzas first. This made sense so no worries.
Before I returned the pizzas, I asked my sons to take a look to see if they were able to see the sauce. They both said no. I really didn't want to go back but I went anyway. I waited about 10 minutes at the drive thru window behind another car. Once I made it to the window, the cashier was very nice. I explained to him what was going on. He took my pizzas and said ok let me talk to my manager. He went to the manager who was hidden by a wall on the other side of the restaurant. The manager loudly says "that pizza is right. She can either take the pizzas or give her her damn money back.". He said other more but I was unable to hear it. When the cashier returned to the window I asked for clarification about what was said. He responded he told me to give you your money back. I explained that I didn't want my money back. I was simply asking him to remake the pizza with a little more sauce because the pizza was dry.
The manager refused. I asked the cashier if the manager could come to the window so I can explain to him my request. The manager refused to speak with me. At this point I get upset. What type of customer service is this? I asked for the manager's card or something with his name on it. The manager said he didn't have a card. I asked the cashier for my receipt back and to take it to the manager to write his first and last name on it. He refused. I said ok, go ahead and process my refund. The cashier then says, I can't do it. The manager usually does it at the end of the night. Confused, I asked, the same manager that just refused to speak with me? I'm sorry but I'm not moving my vehicle until I have my refund. There was another manager present who processed the refund at that point.
There's a sign outside of the business that says if you're refused service, contact us. I asked the cashier who the number belonged to, he said the owner. Perfect, I text the number shortly after leaving the restaurant. I haven't hear back yet which is why I'm writing this review. I know a lot of times as business owners we may not know what's happening at our place of business which is why I texted the provided number first. However, I haven't received a response or acknowledgement which suggests the problem may be bigger than a single manager, by the name of Dewayne (I was only able to get his first name). Unfortunately, the past two weekends I have had that most horrible experiences at the same location. Last Friday I ordered two large pizzas and I used my fundraiser card that allows Buy 1 get 1 free. I ordered over the phone. When I arrived at Domino's I went to the window. The lady that works there saw me sitting there and totally ignored me. So I figured that maybe I should go around to the second window to order. The lady ignored me a little longer and finally came to the window. I presented the card and however she still charged me for two pizzas. My receipt fell into the water since it had rained because instead of her handing my receipt and card to me in my she decided to sit it on top of the box while the wind was blowing for some strange reason. I explained her error to her and she offered to give me a free pizza. Why would I want another free pizza when the point of me getting the card was to get a free pizza in the first place. We resolved the problem. So I went to the same Domino's e giving them another chance. So tonight I sat at the window for 10 mins while the employees looked at me from inside. I even blew my horn. So finally someone came to the window and helped me out. My pizzas had just been sitting there. She explained how people usually knock on the window... why would I knock on a window at a drive thru?? Read moreI would give them a 0 rating but its not possible. Baby, let me tell yall how horrile this place is. I placed my order at 5:20pm. I got a notification by text stating my pizza was out the oven at 5:50pm. At 7:00pm my order was still not at my house. I call the store and they told me that they are short of delivery drivers. So i ask the person on the phone can they ask the manager can i come pick up my pizza and get it fresh since its been out the oven for nearly a hour and half. They proceed to tell me my order just came out the oven and the app was broken; the time it gave me was wrong. (Why have a app if it dont work?) So i get there to pick up my pizza, I ask for a refund or something to replace my delivery fee. The lady at the window tell me well it was your choice to come get it and they couldnt refund it or give me anything. (Like, wth it was your fault that i had to come get it) Let me not forget when i got there 3 delivery drivers were walking out the door with orders. So are yall short of staff or yall just slow and unprofessional. I will not be going to this dominos anymore. Oh lets not forget; we in a pandemic where we are to wear mask. I get to the windown the lady at the window dont have a mask on at all, and the guy folding the boxes walking around eating a slice of pizza with no mask on, and the people in the back have mask on but they are under their chins.
