I have 2 stars only because this place was once worth the drive and the Mac & cheese was edible. We drive 25 minutes (ONE WAY) to pick up because we did like this place so much. Tonight my husband gets home with the half order of brisket / cheese fries, and I'm questioning if people know that cheese is one of the main ingredients in this. I was lucky to see 3 shreds of cheese on this and BARELY any bbq sauce. So basically I paid $10 for French Fries. Even after adding the small amount of shredded cheese in my fridge that I had, these still were not what I consider CHEESE fries. I also asked for no green onions or sour cream so I saved you money on that part, is it so hard to put a decent amount of cheese on the fries? Not even looking for extra - just some that I don’t need a magnifying glass to find.
Next - Let’s talk about my pulled pork sandwich…since when can pulled pork be picked up with hands like it’s a hamburger? That’s right - I picked up the entire pork “patty”. What is even going on here? Bread was stale. I couldn’t force myself to eat it.
I MIGHT give this restaurant one more chance but the food from the last few visits have been less than appetizing so hard pressed to do so. On top of that, they are passing the credit card service charge on to patrons with the increased prices and now way less than edible food. The reasons why restaurants are closing at an epic rate is because of these reasons I mention above plus higher prices for the poor quality food &...

Read moreMaybe I don't know about smoked meats, but the chicken was dry and not flavorful even with the sauce and neither was the non fatty brisket, the young man asked me if I wanted the fatty brisket but I said no because I was thinking I didn't want no fatty meat but I should have asked to see it or sample a piece if that was possible.I got the braised mustard greens they looked like the frozen chopped up ones you get from walmart or other grocery freezer sections and they weren't good, just bland, and I had the sweet potato souffle,I think that's what they called it,it was too sweet,it was too stringy, that might taste good to others but I did not like the food.I am from Louisiana and am 65yrs of age and I live in plaquemine and I know good food. When I was making up my mind on what I wanted I asked who cooked the food because I only saw men in the back.I know if a woman was there in the kitchen cooking or making the dishes maybe it would have been prepared better ,and maybe a lady prepared those dishes but it was bad to me.I am definitely not saying that a man can't throw down in...
