Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Oh how I have missed jack in the box! It has been about four years since I’ve had jack in the box, because I moved to a state that does not have any. While traveling this area I got to experience it again, and you know how sometimes you remember something as being better than it was? Well for jack in the box that is not the case! It was just as good as I remembered! But this location does have something or should I say someone special, the manager that was working the morning shift on 3-20-18. She needs a raise! She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy! We were there at 8 in the morning and we wanted to order from the lunch menu, the teriyaki bowl to be specific, but she yelled from the back that they didn’t have any rice ready yet, so we asked how long would it take? She said 15 minutes or we could get it with just vegetables, we said we would wait for the rice. We didn’t mind waiting since that’s what we wanted. She kept checking up on us and offered to bring us our tacos first so we could eat them while we waited. We could tell she felt bad we had to wait, but we were ok with it since not many people probably get the bowls that early in the day. I was just impressed how she went above and beyond to make she we were happy, even comping us free desert for having to wait. I don't know if it's the lack of personnel or competent employees but the drive thru is very slow, plus the female constantly told me twice to hold on before I could even say what my order was as in interrupting me, that's not very professional, and I that feel that is unnecessary. I noticed this problem lately with younger employees as if they want to get paid, but do not want to do their job. She was not friendly at all, as if she had a chip on her shoulder. Look if you do not want to serve customers, get a different job, it's that simple. I wasn't rude or anything, this is sad the state of people mind sets...

Today i went to jack in the box on scenic hwy.. I ordered a number 10 cut in half no cheese combo. She said shell give me a knife.. I got to the window and i was given a small fry in a large box.. I asked to get the right amount of fries .. I waited 5 mins for them to bring me the same sized fry and hurry up closed their drivethru window and turned her back.
