Scenic Café — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Opens early. Could use some updating. It has plenty of space for a few tv showing morning news and traffic. Their breakfasts are just standard eggs, meat, bread, hash browns and or grits. Sometimes the toast has been sitting over heat which makes it tough. Everything could use a little seasonings, like hash browns with green peppers and onions and a sprinkle of seasoning. I'm not sure if the eggs are powdered.

The drinks are all high in there and it's kind of expensive overall, as far as quality. It sucks that they only take CASH or a real CREDIT CARD and she even has an ATM. It sits in the open, aligned against the wall, aligned with the front doors. Everyone can see you get money out. It's dark where you park and it's not exactly a good area. Great breakfast, big portions, nice prices!! The Western omelet was PRESSURE….. you can choose which meat you want it to be filled with and it comes with a choice of grits or hash browns topped with a soft buttery biscuit or buttery toast!!
