Tasty cream donuts — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Another good place for some donuts! The donuts are big but cold as other reviewers have stated. From what I saw there aren't any heating lamps to keep them warm. It was pretty busy for a spot that just opened up so be ready to wait for a few minutes before you can place your order. Prices are decent, the donuts are tasty (would be better if warm), and the service was quick given the number of people. If you're not interested in the cold donuts they have other things on the menu (probably also cold). They take cash as well as cards (you can probably use the tap and pay with your phone too). I have been a fan of Tasty for a long time. I was excited to find that there is a Baton Rouge location. I visited at 7:30 this morning and everything was fresh. The establishment was clean. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Even the customers waiting were friendly and had great feedback on the establishment. All of my items were the appropriate temperature. Nice sized donuts, with a reasonable price. Normal glaze had a good flavor and was moist and chewy. Blueberry cake donut was great. Raspberry Jelly Puff was best tasting, of all, in my opinion. Apple fritter was better tasting than Mary Lee's fritter. It's smaller than Mary Lee's fritter, but size ain't everything when it comes to donuts. It's definitely worth the stop on that side of town.
