My wife wanted some fries, so we pulled up in the drive thru behind another lady and waited. And waited. Multiple cars passed through the second line while we sat there with no one taking our order. Over five minutes later the speaker tells the lady in front of us that this lane is closed and she needs to get in lane two, which has at least 5 cars in it. Instead of us getting back in the drive through, we decided it would be quicker to go inside because all we wanted was an order of fries. We were wrong. We told the lady at the register how no one took our order in the drive through. Her response was to tell us that they close lane 1 at 8pm. Apparently we got there right after they closed the lane but someone forgot to put out the cones. How were we supposed to know that? No one blocked the entrance, otherwise we would have gone to the other lane. Fine, we'll take an order of fries. We pay and sit down to wait. I guess one of the food prep girls marked our order as complete (probably because it was small, quick to fill, and would help their order resolution time average). I don't think the kitchen crew saw our order before it was "completed" because we then sat staring at the workers for at least 10 minutes, watching orders containing fries go out over and over again. Eventually the prep girls started demanding fries from the back to fill our order, but there was no pending order on the screen saying "just fries". Eventually we got our fries but by that time we were out of patience and we lost a ton of time for a simple craving run. It will be a while before we give Baxley Roost another shot. Please tighten up your processes so customer frustrations don't tank...
Read moreIll start by saying food was decent, however, staff was unfamiliar with the pos system and ordering was complicated it seemed. To have a walk up counter/line, fix my own drink, and wait for 30+ minutes to get food.. seemed ridiculous. Not sure if understaffed or not familiar yet. Everyone was nice.
Moreso and the main problem is that I was specifically asked did I have cash to tip the server... I challenge the restaurant and or owners to pay a fair wage and not ask for patrons to subsidize your employees. Thats your responsibility not mine. Ridiculous to ask, when nearly the entire ordering process is on the back of the customer. Why would someone tip at a fast food establishment?? But especially when its far from a sit down experience. Read moreI went 2 days after they opened and I have gone back a couple of times since then. I thought it was going to be just like the 2 other chains with similar menu's but it's far superior. The only problem is the time it takes to get through the drive thru is insane! Make sure you aren't low on gas before pulling in. The chicken and pimento sandwich is delicious! The honey butter croissants will leave you wanting more. The tornado fries are the perfect texture. I absolutely love the grape salad and the fruit and cheese plate is perfection.
