Buddy's Columbus Cone Inc. — Restaurant in Bay City

Earlier today I was out on a walk and I severely overestimated how long I could walk in this heat for. So, I got to a point in the walk where if I had not laid down I probably would have passed out. While I was laying down on the ground, across the street from me I saw someone coming out of Buddys Ice Cream with a bottle of water. At the time I did not know that it was actually the owner of the shop. He gave me the water free of charge and just went about his day. My husband and I stopped in here after walking out of an ice cream shop down the road due to the line being so long and the wait, about 45 minutes! And we are so glad we did! The ice cream was so good, and his homemade waffle cones are to die for!! He said he has a hard time rolling them these days, but ours were just fine! Cute ice cream shop!! The owner was friendly, gave town info, a "sweet" guy. He has a large selection of hard ice cream - from Butter Pecan to Blue Moon to Sherbets (soft serve available too). Quality ice cream - I had Butter Pecan and it was delicious with huge bits of pecans!! You can select from a bowl, a cake cone, sugar cone or waffle cone. Other items, we saw on the menu but didn't try, chocolate dipped bananas and slushies. We'll be back next time...
