I have traveled to a handful of countries and beautiful places. I have never been so impressed by the level of detail. Not just in restoration but customer service. The breakfast is just amazing. It is not frozen junk. Carefully prepared meals and curated plates. The service is something out of a dream. Everyone is attentive and passionate. The woman who restored it is very educated and knowledgeable. She has put an immense effort in making guests comfortable and feel like your ina fairytale. I got lucky to find this gem in the middle of my hometown. I haven’t been home to even visit in over a decade, and since staying here we are already planning our return trip. If you are looking for TRUE class and experience in a historic district rich with sophistication, yet casual intimate environment this is a diamond in the rough. Bay city has doubled in charm over the years and the house is nestled near 5 star culinary venues, and gorgeous scenic views of downtown. It peaceful, quiet, off the beaten path. The accommodation FAR surpasses your commercial luxury suites and penthouses. We stayed both signature suite and the keep. Both had unique eccentric charm with modern conveniences. Everything is clean and fresh. I was not worried at all about cleanliness when I walked in the door. You can tell the staff is on top of keeping the entire inn Up to par with the highest quality inns. Webster house is worth a special trip just for the inn itself. The people really can determine the quality of your stay. Such a pleasure to be a guest here and I highly recommend them for any leisure or business activities.

We chose this place for our honeymoon. We almost booked it for our elopement and I wish I had. It would be the perfect place for a true elopement. I can’t get over the level of restoration down to the dust catchers on the steps. The beds and quarters are all high end quality furnishings. The Spa is perfect for the little private escape. I read some of the negative reviews and feel I need to address some complaints as a guest myself. Just like any older house you do here some creeks and footsteps but nothing that makes you feel uncomfortable or takes away from your privacy. This is an authentically restored home and it isn’t anything you don’t get used too quickly. There is some peeling wall paper but you have to seek it out and all it does is add to the charm. I’m actually flabbergasted at how they keep the humidity as low as they do. They do have dehumidifiers set up. Even the keep in the basement level was very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised use of the spa did not interfere with air quality. I understand why they can’t do last minute reservations. They take great care in setting up the rooms according to covid standards and personalizing them if need be. They are very communicative throughout the stay. I feel if I had noticed a problem with a fixture or appliance they would’ve promptly handled it. This is a place meant for mature adults who can appreciate the work that goes into these restoration and appreciate genuine intimate service. And respect the property both exterior and interior. I feel like they would’ve helped with anything requested of them within reason. The stone masonry and wood craft are exquisite. With the house it really is in the details.

You do not feel confined at any time. The main floor is communal use but I have yet to cross paths with anyone. If anything it’s a large detailed space to which you enjoy views of the grounds and neighborhood. You can play chess, sip a glass of wine or cup of coffee/tea. The employers remain unseen unless needed which adds to the air of ultimate privacy and service. They do an incredible job of anticipating your needs. The pictures on their website do NOT do this in Justice. A spectacular experience and the price for what you are getting in return is definitely worth it. I was shocked at how inclusive my stay has been for such a low amount in all consideration. They went above and beyond to make our honeymoon feel special...

Absolutely beautiful historic bed and breakfast. The Keep Room is fabulous and a great way to celebrate an event, or just treat yourself. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was scrumptious. We appreciated the snacks and beverages provided in the room and cookies in the common areas. This particular room has a ton of different seating options. We tried them all, but it was hard not to just stay on the bed because it was so comfortable! If you even has a control function to bring the head forward for sitting. The bedding and robes were so decadent feeling that we looked up the brands and are thinking about splurging on some for ourselves at home! Only issue we had was temperature control. Too warm for sleeping in the bedroom area because the heating vent is above the bed and directed straight down. If there is not a way for the occupants to control the temperature, we would recommend that management install something on the vent to enable directing the airflow away from the bed, or at least partially close the vent to minimize air flow. On the other hand, the open space bar and coffee bar sections of the Keep Room were way too cold, exacerbated by one of the fireplaces not working. It would also have been nice to have a working fireplace in the bedroom area, but it was still super cozy! The spa room was cold, but heated up more easily because you could shut the door. It would also be helpful to have written instructions for operating the sauna, instead of having to watch the video online or only getting a verbal explanation once. But these were small matters compared to the overall experience. We really enjoyed our time at the Webster House and wished we could have...

My husband and I typically stay at B&Bs whenever we travel. This was by far one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. We stayed in The Keep Room which was the entire basement, including the spa (huge 2 person hot tub, sauna, double rain shower). The space is massive. It includes a separate bar area to enjoy drinks and food. There is a mini fridge for food leftovers, as well as a mini drink fridge. There is a coffee and tea maker nook. The bedroom was our fav place of course. The bed was so comfy and we loved the adjustable head board. Made watching the Super Bowl on TV a lot easier. The fireplace was very nice. Everything was immaculate and clean and wonderful. We enjoyed every single square inch of the The Keep Room. The owner and staff were so thoughtful and nice. The food was amazing. Big portion sizes so you’re never left hungry. Even on our last night after explaining we would have to leave super early the next day and get on the road (missing breakfast) the owner was so nice and prepared our breakfast meals in to-go containers for our drive home. Seriously so thoughtful. If traveling in winter, and wanting to explore, my husband and I did a lot of walking. Highly recommend a balaclava haha. It’s very windy and cold. There is a massive antique shop that’s a block long and 3 stories. That was a lot of fun. Watching the ice fishers on the Saginaw Bay was fun too. We also visited Frankenmuth and bought all our souvenirs there. Tried out the Frankenmuth Brewery and just wandered. Highly recommend Gs pizza while you’re here. And the drinks at Old City Hall. Sushi Palace is well worth the drive, about 25 minutes away. Happy Bay City...

We had a wonderful birthday weekend… Dad joke at 00:38. I cannot wait until we have flooring in our new place. There were so many cool 1970’s furniture pieces at many of Bay City’s antique stores! #Travel #Birthday #BedAndBreakfast #Unique #Food
