Sunday, April 2nd. 11:30a.m. My friend suggested we try this place for the first time. When we walked in I was unimpressed. The tables were cramped. We were told to sit wherever. We were handed menus that looked to be printed out via computer and were already worn out and altered with pen scribbling out items no longer offered. A waitress (no name, no name tag) came over asked what we wanted to drink, no smile, no Welcome to Suzy Qs Breakfast Nook!!! She acted like she was angry that we asked for water to drink. She came back to take our order then we NEVER saw her again. I ordered the house specialty, homemade corned beef hash and two eggs over easy and toast. My friend had biscuits and sausage gravy. I had to ask for straws, there was no jam, jelly for my toast and we noticed the jelly bins in the kitchen behind us, up on the shelves just sitting there. I guess it was just for show, not for eating. When our food was brought out by the second no name, no name tag waitress my eggs were not done. I told second no name waitress ( dark, long pony tailed hair, heavyset and short in height) about my eggs and she actually had the nerve to ask me, "How should they be cooked?" I proceeded to educate her that over easy eggs should be lightly turned over, but not raw. The egg whites were runny, slimy and I pointed that out to her. She got angry and told me new eggs would be made, brought those out shoved them under my face and said, "Here! These aren't slimy!" Then she NEVER returned......not to see if we liked our food, (which we didn't) not to see if we needed more water (which we did) not to see if we needed a box (which we did, to take my hash home for my dog. I couldn't eat it. It was so greasy, stinky and inedible for human consumption) nor to bring us our bill. The ONLY waitress who did have a name was Kelly, she was friendly, brought us our straws, brought me a box, got us our bill, smiled at us and told us to enjoy the rest of our day. So for me personally the ONLY thing that place has going for it is Kelly!!! Once the novelty of Suzy Qs Breakfast Nook wears off I predict that place folding and going under like a bad nightmare. I won't be back and will tell my friends and family about my very first and horrible experience there with both the food and the help. Suzy, you may have been in this business for many, many years, but you don't stay in business in this area by treating people like this and serving substandard food. Coca-cola would be wise to step away from this one in its support or risk losing its credibility with its loyal customers. Because anyone who would support this establishment makes me question other endeavors it endorses. If I could give Suzy Qs Breakfast Nook ZERO stars I would have. One of the Worst restaurants I've NOT been seated in, nor felt welcomed into in quite a long while. P.S. Thank you Kelly for making an otherwise horrible experience at least a little more bearable with your smile, your help and your positive attitude. You deserve a raise and the rest of them should get canned for such lack of proper eticate and a plethora...

I really want to like this place, since it's so close to my house and have been waiting 8ish months for it to open. But every time I've gone the service has somehow been worse. Peaked today...

Waited about 5 minutes to even be seated another 5 to 10 minutes before our waitress brought us menus or took our drink orders. Upon requesting water we were told the water was currently turned off and we couldn't have any. Waited about 40 minutes for two sandwiches (BLT and a French dip), fries were soggy with grease and completely rubbery. Upon asking for new fries because of this, was told that's just how there fries are. I don't know about most, but French fries are generally at least a little crispy/firm. Aujus that came with my French dip was cold on arrival. We had to flag down a waitress for our bill after waiting patiently and they didn't know what we ordered... So we filled the new waitress in since our original one was completely MIA and apparently they didn't have our order slip.

I don't stiff on a tip often, but today was a day that absolutely called for it. I understand they're a newly opened and maybe they'll improve over time but after this I highly doubt I'll return. For the prices and lack of quality service this place is currently just outrageous. I don't recommend anyone waste there time or money, there are plenty of other great breakfast/diner locations...

Worst breakfast experience I think I've ever had. Our server was preoccupied chatting with other guests then focusing on our order or even keeping our drinks somewhat filled. We got there when they were busy, fair enough- at first. But the place cleared out within 15 minutes of us arriving. Less then half the tables were full yet we waited 1.5 hours for 4 kids orders and 2 adult meals. 3 kids orders were only 1 egg, bacon, and toast! Really was no excuse. Drinks stayed empty most of the time. My partner had to ask for a refill for the kids after an hour. I just don't understand why there were so many good reviews after such an awful experience. We tried telling the waitress and it was all excuses. No offer to try making the situation better. Only food that got really eaten was the breakfast for the kids. Our fries and our daughter's burger were not good so they weren't touched. Would never recommend this unless you're okay with waiting a long time for your breakfast. We drove out from Saginaw, and even went out of our way to grab cash for their cash only retaurant, because of the good reviews we saw. Don't make the...

Chris was my waiter. He is very nice and ready for a good conversation. He excitedly told me about their daily specials and all the different types of homemade jam they had (I picked strawberry). I stopped by randomly one morning while out running errands. It is a cute little breakfast spot that is Coca-Cola themed. The floor is an adorable red and white checkered floor, the windows have red trim and even have Coca-Cola curtains. The place has been here since 1930's and is a staple of Bay City, MI. The coffee tasted better than Starbucks. Brewed to perfection, in my opinion. While waiting for my food, a family stopped in while on their way up north for the 4th of July. It turned into a pleasant morning with conversation flowing between myself, the family, and Chris (the waiter). All in all, highly recommend this cute little breakfast place. I love supporting small businesses and will definitely be back when I'm in Bay City.

Great service today! We were there around 11am and started off with the pepper jack cheese cheese curds and honestly, those were wonderful. They seemed so fresh and gooey. My favorite cheese curds ever! I got the prime rib tacos and the meat was so so soft and juicy. The tacos were very delicious, so good I forgot to breath while eating them! My boyfriend got French toast and he said they were soft on the inside and a little crispy on the outside, just how they should be. The woman serving us was very very kind. She was working hard with an incredible attitude, made us feel like we were very important to her and valued. I wish we lived closer, we would be here all the time, enjoying the wonderful food, service, and environment.

Loved the place the moment I walked in the door. Suzie is the nicest, most friendly person. You feel like family as soon as you sit down. Have I mentioned the food?? The homemade corn beef hash was out of this world. It was so good and you won't walk out hungry. I don't think I set my fork down once...lol...I can't wait to go back to Bay City so we can stop in again. Probably the only place I'll ever eat in Bay City, unless I don't have a choice. When you find a gem, why look elsewhere...it is that good.. All food delivered to the tables looked amazing and there wasn't a lot of talking going on. Only eating and the "omg, this is so good" statements between bites.
