We had an horrible experience with the new Express kiosk on July 4, 2025. First of all we got there for dinner which starts at 3:00. We arrived at 2:45 and the line was wrapped around almost to the side exit stairs of buffet area. We waited and made it to the front stairs to enter the buffet. We opted out at spending an extra $5 not sure if it was per person to skip the rest of the line and use their new kiosk. We finally made it to the cashier counter it was 3:45. They stopped our line because the seating was full. That is understandable. They continued to allow people to use the kiosk and piled them up over to the VIP desk area. We waited another 25 minutes as they sat those people. We noticed a group that was at the end of the long line when we started up the stairs that now were even with us on the Skip the line side. We and the others around us questioned if we were going to be seated or if they were going to continue to just let others use the kiosk and us just wait. The host said he shut off the Kiosk. They were still at least 20 plus people piled up over on the VIP/skip the line side. They were still seating them. With our line at a stand still the cashiers were just standing there waiting to hear if they can start back ringing up the regular line. Remember we were told 25 minutes earlier they were full. The skip the line never stopped seating. We left the casino and went to Silver Slipper to eat crab. The reason we chose to leave is how rude the Host was to an elderly lady that was behind us. Her and her hubby just dropped $500 in the Casino and the host asked to see her players card. He referred to that card in front of everyone oh that’s not the higher tier card. The tier status of her card has nothing to due with paying a extra fee to skip the line. It just a greedy way of doing business. We have always enjoyed celebrating holidays and special occasions here. This treatment to customers is unacceptable as far as we are considered and a total waste of time. At this point if the kiosk continues I do not recommend anyone else to waste...
Read moreThis review is of just the buffet at the casino, we didn't stay at casino. It's $50 a person for everyone, even the kids, we got 1 small veteran discounts even tho we are 2 vets and 2 kids under 10. Golden Coral has better selection and quality of food. Dry pizza was the entire Italian section. Cold potato salad and shrimp coctail was an entire section. If you grab a fesh steak off the grill, they were ok. The roast beef was tasteless, the grilled pineapple was really good. They had fried chicken, generic mashed potatoes & gravy, fries, BBQ, soggy veggies, and small selection of Chinese food. The kids grabbed the chocolate cakes and several other desserts, they're like these aren't good. If my kids won't eat chocolate cake, it's really bad. Three in the family ate a lot crab legs, only decent item.
First, the first thing that hits you in the face as soon as you walk in is cigarette smoke. It reaks. The buffet is upstairs you have to walk thru the noisy casino area. It's like everybody's just pulling the slots and smoking, casino floor was packed. You go up open escalators to the 2nd floor, more noisy casino slots, and all that nasty second hand smoke follows you. We brought our kids, as did many people. We got in line at 1:30pm, waited almost 2 hours for a table, no waiting chairs. We were all starving, the kids all went to the crab legs. I walked around and was immediately disappointed. The bathrooms were completely out of paper towles & TP and no one was around to tell. I've been to Vegas and casino dining in other states, this was...
Read moreOn my recent trip to Florida we didn’t get a chance to indulge in a lot of seafood so on the drive back we looked up this buffet that touted all you can eat crab?!
I was intrigued and it was the perfect stop on my drive back to Texas.
It’s a bit off the major freeway but when you arrive you realize the Hollywood Casino is huge and this buffet is fitting to accompany it.
The line to get seated packs up but the seating area is huge. It’s $50 per adult, kids 3 and under are free 4-12 are $25.
For the adults it was definitely worth the price. They serve the snow crabs and the Dungeness crabs in small buckets with about 2 clusters each. The snow crabs were okay but the Dungeness is where it’s at! It was super juicy. They have cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and hot butter to dip. I enjoyed the hot butter but ended up making my own lemon pepper dipping sauce later as well.
This alone is worth the buffet price, but they have prime rib, steaks, and many other items to sample as well.
Short and simple come for the crabs! You...
