I recently visited Pitirre Café in a charming Puerto Rican plaza in Bayamon, and it was an absolute delight! This Boho-chic gem exudes a warm, Spanish-inspired atmosphere with cozy vibes. The setup includes three comfy couches, a few chairs, and tables, perfect for lounging with a coffee. Five stunning chandeliers hang from the high ceilings, adding a touch of elegance, while jazz plays softly in the background, creating a relaxing ambiance. The walls are adorned with pictures showcasing the café’s unique character. The food and drinks were exceptional. I savored a pesto Cubano sandwich, served on thick, Texas toast-style bread with substantial, flavorful pork that was simply divine. My husband and I each enjoyed a latte with a double espresso shot, mine without sugar, as I prefer, and the coffee was so rich and smooth, it needed no sweetener. The baristas clearly know their craft! The open kitchen adds to the inviting feel, and the air-conditioned space makes it a perfect spot to escape the heat. Prices are reasonable for the high quality of food and drinks. Pitirre is an ideal place to unwind on a couch, sip a delicious coffee, and enjoy a leisurely afternoon. Highly recommend this cozy café for anyone looking for great food and a charming...
Read moreQue experiencia bonita! We’re here for the BB concert and are being intentional abt where we spend our dollars. Pitirre cafe is just 5 min from my abuelas house and the vibes were immaculate from the moment we stepped thru the doors. The staff is super friendly and the chef even came out to get a head start on our order while we were in line.
The food was great! I had the Montadas con cerdo—it was perfectly seasoned with two medium eggs and the crispiest pork loin pieces. It was a healthy portion and I took leftovers to eat with an egg the next day. I eat a gluten free diet due to an intolerance and it was a hearty meal that didn’t require me to adjust the dish at all. I’m not celiac so I can’t speak to the kitchen protocol but the chef was so great and I believe he would have made any accommodations within his control.
My husband had the Pitirre Calle Comerío which he loved. The star of that dish was the pancake topped with homemade berry jam and a lightly sweet cream cheese (heavy) drizzle with a hint of citrus.
For drinks we ordered two lattes that tasted great. We’re not into sweet coffee drinks so a simple, well made latte was just what we wanted.
We’ll definitely be back on our trips...
Read moreTerrible experiencia. A mi nunca me dijeron nada."
