Route 40 Diner — Restaurant in Bear

Today my boyfriend, our 1 year old son and I went here to have lunch. We walked in and it was empty aside from 2 or 3 tables. Didn’t smell like food was cooking like any other restaurant, just kinda gave creepy hospital vibes. That wasn’t the problem I have. The server, the receipt said “Gulay” was her name, was the most impatient and unfriendly server I’ve ever had waiting on me in my life. She asked what we wanted to drink and before I could finish and tell her what I wanted for the baby she rolled her eyes and walked away. When she came back I asked what kind of juice they had, she sighed and started naming them slowly and with attitude. We finally got to the ordering part after about 30+ minutes of waiting patiently. She was so impatient, she kept making sounds and making us feel rushed. My boyfriend and I forgot to ask for the coleslaw and pickle with our sandwiches so I asked the other waitress and she said they usually give it out but she was gonna say something just incase for us, we didn’t get it at all and when I asked about it she not only was a B$&@H about it but she only brought one when I asked for both of ours. I put the baby’s order in first because I knew he was about to start getting antsy soon, but for some reason the jalapeño poppers that we ordered another 30 minutes later came out 10 minutes before the baby’s chicken fingers and fries, and the chicken was burnt. When I said something I got even more attitude from her and she even waved her hand by her side in an impatiently and rude manner. She said “so what do u want? Something else!?” And I said “I mean just some new ones that aren’t burnt would be nice. I’m sorry and I appreciate you…..” she huffed and walked away. She brought back more eventually and wanted me to check them before she walked away, they were still a little hard but not as bad as the first ones. I also got a chicken panini melt it was dry and flavorless, she forgot my brown gravy and brought it out after I asked and it was grey. She messed up the toppings on my boyfriends burger, and it was just all in all a terrible experience. First time here was in the area wanted food so I got seated right away the man who seated me ask me if I want a booth or table I said it didn't matter so he seated me to a table of eight they were busy I said can I get a booth he said it's going to be a wait I said I will just sit here the waitress came over ask me if I was ready to order I just sat down haven't even looked at the menu yet I said I needed a few minutes told her my drink order got that from someone else she was taking a phone order which was fine I waited a few minutes for her to come back she took my order waited a few more minutes got my order but never saw my waitress again she had a couple tables besides me there was this one table in front of me that she went over to ask if they needed anything that was after she walked right past me and didn't say anything to me I guess if u aren't a regular or a table of two u don't get good service I get this all the time so I am use to it then she had a couple tables food and put the tray right on the table I was sitting at which was fine still once again didn't ask me if I needed anything or how was anything I waited a few minutes to get my check i finally adk her before she took another tables order for my check so I could leave would come back for the food the service if u aren't a regular or a table of more then one the...

We Visited this establishment in the evening. The person who greeted us seemed friendly however the waitress, she should find another occupation. We were only there once before and that was years back so we weren't familiar with the menu. She took our drink water and when she came back to take the order we weren't quite ready. She did come back a couple times and again we apologized and said we weren't ready yet. The way she walked away from the table and the expression on her face seemed to get worse. She looked very much annoyed. We thought about leaving but decided to stay. The food was not good. A portion was very overcooked. We had to walk up to her to ask for things that we needed. She was too busy cleaning, breaking things down for the night. Another worker was washing the floor on the opposite side of where we sat! The smell and the fumes were too much! Years back I was a waitress and yes there are stages of cleaning and breaking things down for the night but some of the tasks were done once the customers left and you never ignored your tables let alone made them feel unwelcomed.
