Two stars is harsh, I know. But I've finally had it. I come through this Wawa a few times a week. And like most Wawas it's a familiar place, with hard working staff that stays busy and make the customers feel welcome, or at the very least work quickly to get them out and on their way quickly. But when I stop by (usually after midnight on weekends) I place my food order at the electronic Kiosk and wait for the food patiently. This is where I've gotten to see a man by the name of "Matt" who prepares the orders behind the counter. What makes Matt special in my book is his TERRIBLE work demeanor. His attitude in general is a disgrace to the image of this store and Wawa as a brand. Tonight though, it went beyond just his miserable look and off-putting attitude. Matt proceeded to fill up my cup with soup in his typical ill-mannered and rushed way (I was the only one in the store, so no line or crazy rush either). Spilling soup around the pot and making my cup all messy. He SLAPS the lid on and more soup drips out of the bowl and then THROWS the cup on the counter. If you didn't know better you'd think a close relative of his just died or something bad happened. (And I don't know this man, maybe he is dealing with some major issues of which I am not aware?) But I doubt it. You can't possibly appear this anti-social and miserable EVERY TIME. Because for me it never fails. The guy just seems TO HATE his job EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I order my food. Why? I don't know... 😕 And that's fine if you want to be known as a grouch, but don't be taking it out on the food I am paying good money for. Making a mess that I have to clean up on my way out of the store! Matt needs to realize that smiling is not going to kill him and that customers come hungry and tired too, they just want a decent meal and the usually great Wawa service. It's not a ton...
Read moreWe went in last night around 9pm, and I gotta say, it makes me wanna go back to only this location from now on for a sandwich.
I don't order cheese or spreads so I always face the danger of weak sandwiches, but that was definitely not the case.
Not only did the associate come around from behind the deli to help me figure out how to add "more than 3" toppings to my sandwich (weird setting when it's not a hoagie for dome reason) but he REALLY gave me a lump of lettuce like I asked, and I could taste pickles in each bite..... that's how you know they actually made a good sandwich and respected my directions lol.
Thanks so much
rrrrrrrrrg ... *another visit today, order #994 @ 3:57pm Sun 07/10...... all was great except 🧐🧐🧐no bacon or avocado like I paid for🧐🧐🧐 I understand it's hoagie fest, but there are ways to go about running out of product (aside from making sure to order way more than enough) and failing to offer a refund/having the customer pay and then not get the goods is not a good option. I'm hoping they will make me a new one the next time I come because I haven't given up on this...
Read moreMy son stopped at this Wawa 1693 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702, 11/9/18 and bought a large container of chicken noodle soup, but when he got home and sat down to eat it he was PISSED.😠😡..usually the container has a lot of noodles and chicken in it, but today was a very different story... He opened the container up and saw chicken broth and about 4 noodles and 3 small pieces of chicken. Boy was that a very expensive cup of broth... 😠 He was really looking forward to his soup today...It's his birthday! 😧 The person who poured out the soup into the container should be ashamed of themselves... They knew there wasn't enough chicken and noodles in his container so what they should have said was... Excuse me, but there isn't enough soup left to serve today, we have to make more... But No they sold him a large container of chicken broth instead... Which was wrong... This isn't saying much for this Wawa...
