You walk into to this little "joint" and I mean it in the kindness and best possible manner, and you'll find three ladies working their fingers to the bone to keep up with the customers. And Patty, Ashley and Melissa get it done! Patty Boyd Lewis usually greets you with her warm, sincere, Down East smile and says, "What'll you have?" And, she call you by name if you've been a few times. The Spot, in existence since 1950 in Beaufort, NC, was remade by Patty's brother Sammy Boyd who runs a seafood company and two more restaurants in neighboring Morehead City, NC. That's part of the secret; the seafood is as fresh as you can get anywhere. Another secret is how they cook the seafood and they know how. I venture to say that the Spot has the very best Softshell Crabs in the country! Once the food is ordered and paid for with CASH, customers generally pick up their food fresh and piping hot! Most don't mind that nor do they mind the paper plates. The food is just that good. Great service and food in a bright wood and wooden booth setting. Nobody seems to ask about ambience. A really good sign is that upon every visit I have seen police officers and local fishermen. Get it? I hope so. If you visit, tell Patty that Timberlake sent you!

Beaufort's Spot Grill has been around since 1950. To many, including me, it could be called and classified as a local joint. I like an atmospheric thing about the Spot in that millionaires rub elbows with paupers,, fishermen rub elbows with mechanics and professors. One thing for sure, they are all there for the eats! Whether you want a cheese dripping fresh burger or softshell crabs and flounder, Melissa and her ladies cook up everything fresh and exceptionally tasty! Your favorite in season seafood prepared to a tantalizing perfection awaits your next visit! Tell them the other Timberlake artist sent you, the poor, but good looking one!"

I feel totally ripped offed I gave them a chance to fix the situation but they refused so now I'll tell everyone what happened. We are doing a sale in beaufort and decided to call in at the spot for lunch .I ordered from the online menu and added the price came to 19.95 plus tax which should have made it 21.30 when Mike went to pick it up the girl charged gime 27.00 and some change ? I have attached a photo of the menu from online .I asked them what the deal was and got the response that the online menu price needed to to be fixed ? I said we'll it was that price when I ordered it that's what I should pay . No response from them at all .they don't honor thier own prices .if it were a mistake it was their mistake and if it were advertised at that price that should be the price some people depend on that what if I wouldn't have had that extra 6.00

I feel totally ripped off so you better watch out if you do eat there better count up your prices they might slip some extra costs in on you .

I ordered 2 cheeseburgers and soft crab burger

And also the crab burger was so salty I could barely get 2 bites eat .they do that when seafood is going bad to hide the ticky taste .

I won't be eating there again and don't recommend it

I caint post the menu picture but chessburg were 4.50 and soft crab...

We live in Newport and we drove here to eat here because we like it so much. But we arrived here it was after 10:00 and there was one car in the parking lot. Somebody was sitting in waiting to be let in because they were closed but yet their hours say they're supposed to be open 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. so then we went shopping in the other shopping center to waste some time and came back at 10:30 a.m. and the door was unlocked and we walked in and there was three girls in there cleaning the grill and I asked if they were open and they said we're not really open come back another time. We will not be coming back because we drive a long way to come here to eat at this restaurant and this has happened many times. if you are not going to be open then you need to post your hours on the website and you need to also post it either outside the door or make it known to...
