Pretty bad experience. It would have been one star if the staff didn't try to make up for their mistakes. We stopped by for lunch on our way to Las Vegas. I ordered a $4 value meal item and my wife and son shared a $8 value meal item. Typically, it takes only a few minutes once it's been ordered. With the building less than half full, it took over 25 minutes to get our food. Which was odd, as other orders seemed to keep coming out of the kitchen. We sat pretty close to the kitchen and I watched my order sit on the counter for ten minutes. Finally the cook says this order has been ready for 20 minutes. A waitress yells back saying "no, you're missing the chicken". Fast forward another 8 minutes or so and our food disappeares off the counter. The hostess brings us our food and warns us that the plates are very hot. We did not order any skillet menu items, so it was obvious that they microwaved our food. We didn't get napkins or syrup for the pancakes. Which is fine, usually we ask for extra napkins. What bothered us is that once we got our food, it seemed like they didn't want to check on us (in fact, they only checked to see how we where doing once up until this point). I almost raised my hand to get help, but I didn't want to be rude. It was very awkward because I hate confrontation at restaurants.. As if things couldn't get worse, I found a curly, dark hair in my eggs. I let the waitress know when she dropped the napkins off, and she apologized. Like I said, I gave them two stars because they tried to make up for it by giving us a discount, and the waitress was apologetic. It just sucks because we were very hungry and basically lost our appetites after already wasting 40 very hungry minutes. I should have taken a picture of the hair but I didn't think of it. Anyways, I read a couple other reviews, and I do not recommend this location until the kitchen is retrained on cleanliness and...
Read moreMy daughter and I we're driving from Cody, Wyoming straight through to Arizona. At 7:45 yesterday morning we needed to find a place for breakfast. We found this Denny's and must say this was an awesome experience. The waitress which I surely am saddened that I didn't get her name was amazing. She lives there in Beaver and the only thing we know about her personally is that she is married to a truck driver, and has pear trees at her home. Due to the surprise storm that came in which greatly lowered the temperatures, she needed to get right home after her shift to pick her pears off of her trees before any freeze affected them!
The service she gave us was above and beyond. She anticipated our needs and fulfilled them before we even looked up, or expressed them. Such an enjoyable experience and the food was 100% spot-on perfect. My daughter and I were able to get rested, ate a yummy meal (we shared the Lumberjack Slam), and got back on the road in perfect time.
If I'm ever traveling through Utah again, I will definitely stop at this Denny's. It's almost like a very home welcome atmosphere once you step inside. It feels like they know you. If you're traveling through Utah and need to pass through Beaver, Utah on your way up or down, mark this Denny's as a must-stop to recharge. There's a couple of gas stations right there on this off-ramp as well so you can...
Read moreLet's start this review by saying this: I am a trucker and I frequent the area and diner because of my route.
Food quality is good, may even be outstanding, if they get your order right and out in a good amount of time. Nachos do not take 30 mins to make, I've seen them come out in 5-10mins in most Denny's.
The 1 star rating is for the Managerial part of this restaurant: Alfredo, the manager is scum. He started belittling and telling my waitress to "shut up" and put her down because the kitchen (which was constantly dropping the ball while I was there) did not tell anyone, including her, that they did not have any turkey gravy for the turkey dinner, among other things. All of this happened right in front of me, as I was sitting at the counter.
My waitress, Patti, was phenomenal and is only let down by the staff she works with. She puts all of her heart into making your experience perfect, as she did mine.
The rest of the staff were perfectly content blaming others for their own shortcomings. I actually overheard a conversation about "just blame the kitchen, so the customer doesn't get mad at you." That is terrible thinking.
Now, I spoke to the General Manager, Tylene Vowels too, and she is very cordial and seems to be quite concerned over what happened. If you have any bad experiences, don't hesitate to...
