Well the cashier first off didn’t know what he was doing at all. Which is fine, I can understand being new and I try to be an understanding person but when we corrected him on something that he did wrong or forgot he caught an attitude with me and my mother-in -law twice. We thought drinks came with our meals because they did last time but after we already paid he proceeded to tell us that they don’t. Our food was wrong missing several things. I ordered the bbq sandwich meal and when the food comes out it’s just the sandwich and it’s super dry; maybe a drop or two of bbq sauce on it. I also didn’t receive my fries. My mil didn’t get her side of gravy for her chicken strip basket or her side of coleslaw. And then when we told him what we were missing he gave us an attitude again and told us he’d get it fixed then when I went up to the register to ask for bbq sauce I didn’t see anything being done. I came back to my table and sat down and the lady working brought us our receipt and my mil told her that she still never received her gravy. She brought back sausage gravy instead of country gravy. Then we told her that I still hadn’t gotten my side of fries or her coleslaw and she proceeded to tell me that he didn’t ring it up as a meal and that she could ring me up for fries discounted. I hate to be like this but honestly this whole trip to Tudor’s from the beginning was terrible. Won’t be...
Read moreI have a soft spot for Tudors, having grown up just down the street and having their breakfast biscuits since I was a young teen. But I recently visited my hometown and I immediately went for breakfast there. Let me be blunt.
Tudors buttermilk biscuits are the size of your fist, golden flaky on the outside and light as cottoninside, and made fresh daily. They are edible with butter, a slathering of breakfast stuffs, or my favourite, ripped in half and smothered in their sausage gravy. And of course jelly.
The coffee is hot the sweet tea is Lipton brew and the attached Ginos makes decent Italian. That being said, this is a local chain.
The table service isn't lacking, they check on you, but you do order and pay at the counter, then sit. It's a step up from fast food, but not quite sit down grade. The registers and menus are antiquated, but functional and that's all they need to be. And the people are polite.
Because they are a small local business, they don't work with a lot of overhead from a large chain to reduce costs, which makes the prices slightly higher than may be they should be. But honestly, then biscuit meals are well worth their price, filling and heavy.
This isn't fine dining. But it's great at its price point.
(Pssst. Send me your recipe, I can't have this but...
Read moreThe lady who waited on my elderly father, my 5yr old and myself was very pleasant and courteous!! During this pandemic you're still just not sure of things especially trying to do things as simple as enjoy a meal out and she definitely made it easier for us to do (I wish I could remember her name!) The store was clean and clearly marked so you could enjoy your meal while still practicing social distancing and all the employees and other customers were doing their part in wearing masks (and gloves on the employee part) The food was GREAT and plentiful! And just to reiterate how awesome the lady was..as we were leaving she told my son bye, thanks and to have a good day and his remark to me was, "we should come here all the time! I kinda love it!" So thanks Tudors for making our breakfast WONDERFUL!! And for doing your best during...
