Lula's Place Eatery — Restaurant in Bedford Township

Our large family shared takeout from Lula's Place for dinner last night and it was the kind of good where you look forward to lunch the next day for leftovers from the night before! With a variety of appetites in the family, we had a variety of foods to share.

The sausage & peppers were first to go. The pictures don't do it justice. Kids said, "How does a sausage taste like a meatball?" And "It's spicy but a good spicy."

Lasagna is a standard favorite and this hit the mark. Not too wet, not to dry, not too heavy. Lula's lasagna for the win.

Antipasto salad was perfectly chopped so every bite has all the flavor without the mess and awkwardness of eating giant chunks of salad. Pepperoncini were diced tiny like tasty confetti and the onion were in inch-long slices so they were easily picked off by those who don't like them.

Flatbread bruchetta....so tasty and visually appealing that it barely made it to the table. People were fighting over the toppings that fell off and into the box it was so good. Fresh, light, evenly dispersed toppings. Perfect.

Mini Cannoli with chocolate chips 10/10, easy to eat without making a mess. I liked the ratio to of filling to pastry in the mini versus the full size I've had before. Pretty and yummy. Would be perfect to order ahead for an easy...

I have been wanting to try this place since they opened, It did not disappoint! The staff was welcoming and the service was great! Our server Melissa was kind, informative and attentive and even indulge me showing her my favorite picture of my husband and I in Florence 🤣. My husband had the lasagna which was a very large portion. He enjoyed it very much, could have used a little more meat in the sauce, but the flavor was there. Reminded us of the lasagna in Rome. I had the carbonara, I'm a nut for a good carbonara. It was a little thin and runny, but the flavors were still very good. If I were in the mood for carbonara I would order it again. The bread was yummy. The restaurant is small and quaint. Add a tablecloth and some dim lighting and you will have brought the ambience of Italy home. We will return again and again. I think we will become fast friends with this little piece of Italy in our hometown. Nicely done...

My colleagues and I ordered several meals from Lula's and we were impressed by each item! My personal favorites were the veggie flatbread and the arancini. The flatbread crust was the best I've had. Soft, pillow-y, and bursting with flavor. Two coworkers also ordered flatbreads and said the same. The arancini was delish as was the marinara sauce. I had my first cannoli, compliments of the owner, Larry, and it was perfection. The hand-made chips were so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The salad had fresh zucchini in it which is such a unique and tasty addition. The subs we ordered were excellent and everyone remarked about the portion size, quality, and price all being on point. We had a large order and everything was fresh, hot, and ready by the time we requested. Larry even loaded it all into my vehicle. Outstanding service and great food.
