Preface: please excuse this as it will be long! I didn’t really take any photos as I was honestly just trying to take in the atmosphere and focus on my partner across the table. We all know iPhone quality in low light so don’t think my one photo does any justice to the detail and craftsmanship that went into the meals below. This was our first time at The Copper Door and my partner and I agreed it will not be our last. We were greeted by our server Emily who was not only knowledgeable of the menu down to having the specials memorized, but so down to earth and easy to talk to. I feel bad how much I talked to her but she could’ve honestly sat at our table and ate with us if she weren’t working! Then one of the tallest men I’ve ever seen in my 5’3 career brought us our appetizers, of which Emily informed me that was their manager. She had nothing but good things to say about him and we talked about him for a few minutes. Nate: congratulations on being the face and forefront of such a wonderful restaurant, it’s a great accomplishment and even though I don’t know you, as someone in the restaurant field for 8+ years I’m so proud for you! Moving on! Our drinks and food came quickly but not too quick where we couldn’t enjoy each others company in between. Everything was exceptional, from the crap dip and bruschetta to the craft cocktails, to our actual entrees. My partner ordered the crunchy tuna bowl and after going to and from the same two options for about 25 minutes I picked the ravioli and short rib. I am so happy I did! The portions were very large and after the appetizers I couldn’t finish! Nate walked over to our table and after hearing the things I told Emily regarding him and how impressed we were, he comped our entire meal. He even said we could get dessert on the house but I was way too full and unwilling to take advantage of someone’s kindness (although I truly appreciate it! Really!) I probably could’ve cried right there :’) Nate and Emily; not to get emotional but I’m a millennial so kindness means a lot. I have had the worst week, like I can’t even tell you. I just got back into school, I work full time and I’m planning a wedding so I’m extremely overwhelmed and over stimulated about 90% of the time! Even just having the night out with my partner would have been enough but I can’t tell you the impact you two made on our night. I cannot thank you enough and I can see exactly why Nate is a Manager, and Emily has been there for 2 years. I cannot wait to go again! (I’m not sure if this is normal or a one off so please if you visit, say kind things because you mean them, and not due to my review and it’s out come)

Last Sunday was our first time visiting Cooper Door based on a recommendation from a couple we met who live in the area. We arrived at around 3:30 pm for a late lunch/early dinner after visiting the Merrimack Outlets. After a relatively 20 minute drive we arrived and was pleasantly surprised at the nice atmospheres. I use atmosphere in plural because the you can really get a sense that in the main dining area you can have a nice romantic dinner while at the bar area you can be more relax and have fun with your group. We also felt that the food was really good. After ordering a couple of draft beers we started with the Chicken & Waffles as an appetizer. Very nice plated contained 3 mini waffles topped with nice piece of crispy chicken. What brings it up to another level is the combination of flavors of maple, creole aioli and the bits of crispy prosciutto. For dinner my wife ordered the Fish Tacos and I ordered the Cowboy Burger. Both were also well cooked and delicious. On both again one key factor that makes them distinctive are the combinations of flavors of the different elements that compose each dish. I order my burger done medium and I was pleasantly surprised that they delivered what I expected. Kudos to the grill man. We highly recommend this place and look forward to visit again soon to try other items on their menu.

My husband and I don't get to go on dates often with a toddler at home and very few opportunities for babysitters. We try to choose our date restaurants very carefully so as not to let the evening go to waste! Copper Door was recommended to us by a few people, so we decided to head over to the Bedford location around 3:30pm p.m. on Sunday for an early dinner. The bar was busy, but there was plenty of room in the dining room and luckily no wait. We were seated in a small corner table and greeted almost immediately by our very friendly server. We were served some delicious garlic bread while we waited and we both got virgin sangrias as we don't drink. I ordered the bacon bourbon BBQ beef tips and my husband ordered the t bone. Both were cooked exactly as we requested (perfect medium rare) and the sides were delicious. I do think that the prices were quite high for the amount of food we got. Potatoes don't cost a lot and yet my fingerling Potatoes and my husband's mash was a pretty small portion. That was my only complaint, though, and it's very minor! The Mac and cheese was to die for, the steak cut like butter. The atmosphere was lively but not loud. Very pleased with our date night choice and will be back!

Wonderful Service inspite me and my fiancee was sitted all the way in the back room away from all the white customers. We had made reservations for 5.00 pm but was told they had none for that time until 5:45 .We arrived with minutes to spare saw two couples at large table .I was so anger and didn't want to order any food by the way we are a mix couple .This was our very first time and maybe our last, because there was plenty of seating in the dining area with everyone else. SO when i emerged from the back all the customers was staring like i didn't belong there and i walk through with my head held high, because I know who i am and who's I am ..Because money has no mouth but it does speak. Thank you Christina 😁 for your Amazing Service it was right on point and so gracefully done ,you knew your stuff and the recommendations were right on point as well .Again thank you for your great service inspite of the seating we were given .You mu dear deserved every dollar you received and more .I wirk in customer service and you have what it takes.Your friendly curtious you smiled made us laugh and very helpful and knowledgeable .You deserce a raise for sure ✍🏾🙋🏽♀️

On 5/28/22, I ordered a Bananas Foster for dessert. What I got wasn't Bananas Foster. The bananas were just sliced fancy. It didn't taste like they cooked the bananas at all, also the dessert was not flambè like it should have been. ______________________ The wait staff was great. The food was great. I had the soup of the day which was a sinfully thick and creamy corn chowder. It came with oyster crackers, but I sent them back because I feel crackers don't usually has be a place in a soup. Instead, dipped the bread in the chowder. Their bread was watt and delicious. I ordered the shepherd's pie without mushrooms. It was great, but for one problem, the design of the dish was more of and island of mashed potatoes surrounded by the rest. While there was more mashed potatoes than another restaurant in the area, I ran out of potatoes before I was finished. I think a good rule of thumb is to have a bite of potatoes worth each bite of the dish. That's the reason I gave it only four stars.

So, I always thought the Copper Door was an upscale chichi place. Boy was I wrong and I'm so glad I was. Went out to dinner with friends tonight at CD and it was AMAZING. I will definitely go back again and again. The outside facade does not accurately represent how beautifully designed the restaurant is. The interior design is so skillfully done from the gorgeous chandeliers, stone fireplace, artfully designed restrooms, interesting artistic features, and furniture choices all add to the overall ambience to this restaurant. This restaurant is gorgeous and the food is just as amazing as the decor. I'm glad I looked at the menu ahead of time as their menu has a lot of choices and everything our group had was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone if your looking for a casual comfort restaurant with excellent food, inviting atmosphere, and great service. The only thing is, it is a little pricey but sometimes it's not about the money but about the memories created with friends.
