Moosie's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Bedford

Had terrible service tonight! My boyfriend and I went to moosie's tonight and we're planning on going to the arcade after. Kailin was our waitress. She completely ignored us. It took her 10 minutes after we had sat down for her to bring us the menu. Then took another 10 for her to come back and take our order. She would walk past our table and avoid eye contact. Once we got our food, she walked away and didn't give us silverware or napkins. Once we finished our drinks, she could see they were emptied, but still walked by our table. Another waitress came by, after Kailin had pretended not to see our empty glasses, and got us more. I didn't get her name but she had on an orange shirt and a low bun. I could tell the whole night she had been running around taking care of her customers. After finishing our food we asked for the check and a box. After about 10 minutes and me staring at her she finally brought the box, but still not the check. I noticed families and groups of ppl who got there 15 min after us were leaving before us. We waited at least 15 minutes, the waitress in the orange shirt saw us sitting there and her mouth dropped. I assume she found Kaitlin and told her to bring our check. Finally she came back with the check and I think at that point knew we were upset and didn't make eye contact with either of us and said have a good night. Neither me or my boyfriend are ones not to tip so we left her a very small amount As we were walking out we gave the waitress in the orange shirt a tip since she had been taking care of her sections and then having to check on Kailin's. To make matters worse when we got to the arcade we were told they close in 5 min so we had to leave. The food in moosie's is great, but our waitress was horrible. If we ever do go back I will never sit in her...

I would love to give Moosie's a better review because we have been coming here for years. However, today was such an utterly disappointing visit, all due to their hostess. We can in with 3 adults and 1 toddler (1 yr old) and they sat us at a 3 person table and wanted to stick the high chair on the corner of a square table where she wouldn't have been able to get close enough to eat and if she threw herself forward for any reason, she could seriously injure herself. So we explained that to her and asked for a bigger table that would accommodate the high chair. The hostess then decided she was done with us, set the menus down on a different table and walked off. We had to get the high chair and move some chairs around, not a big deal.

The hostess then continued to run her mouth under her breath while seating others near us and would stand in the main area staring and giving us dirty looks and glaring. All because we wanted our toddler to be able to eat her lunch at the table in a safe area.

I will say the waitress was wonderful. But it is very disheartening to have that be the face of your business and her attitude be the first thing people with kids experience when they enter the facility.

Unfortunately the food was not up to par either, our food came out with what I thought was a hair on it but turned out to be mold growing on my food. (See picture below)

I don't think we will be returning...

We have been here several times, but all visits before were in summer, so let me allow some grace and perhaps blame the fact it is off season and the staff is short. I stopped by on the way leaving the lake area from our place we rent out . I had the Chicken and dumplings , which were not the best in the world, but good enough to eat, as I was hungry, and not feeling like sending a dish back. They had very dense stodgy dumpling texture, and the chicken chunks tasted like canned chicken. Bland , but adding salt and pepper helped. They were served in a large soup dish with a soup spoon, and I had to ask for a fork, which the waitress promptly brought to me. I had ordered a Rum and diet coke with lime for a cocktail , which I left on the table, I had expected Bacardi Rum and it was not , maybe they did not have any. And my final and biggest disappointment was the banana pudding . They are known for this home made dessert and I have enjoyed it from there in recent weeks. But this time ( last eve) was NOT GOOD. The bowl was full of 90% whipped cream and 3 tiny bits of brown banana, not a single vanilla wafer anyplace in that bowl. It was obviously an old dish , possibly from the weekend ( this was TUES). I think we may hold off on going back till better ,even if that...
