Was treated very bad at this restaurant by waitress named Sam. Food was not good and brought us burnt bread, never checked on us at all to see if we needed drinks or anything. I always tip everywhere I go and expect good service but felt like I was being treated unfairly due to who I was. So yes, I did not leave tip. When I got to my vehicle this waitress runs outside and starts harassing me about not leaving a tip. Telling me that if I can't afford food then I shouldn't go out to eat. I let her know that I paid for my food, but no I did not leave a tip because the food and service was terrible. She went on to judge me about myself and who I was. I was recently in a car wreck so my car in the back is messed up and she had the nerve to talk about my car and what it looked like. Stating she drove a better car. Also told me that I probably live with my mom, which I don't. I live alone and have a very well-paying job. She rambled on and on and kept telling me to get off their property. I was trying to leave and would have already been gone had she not ran outside chasing me over a tip. When I did get to my house, I did call my mom and tell her what had happened because I had never experienced that kind of disrespect ever. I am a kind person and have never been talked to the way this girl talked to me. My mother was bothered by this also and when she called the restaurant to speak to the manager, they put her on hold and then hung up on her. So, she called back a second time and the girl that served me answered the phone. My mom politely asks over and over to speak to the owner of the restaurant, but she would not let her, she kept saying he doesn't want talk to you. My mom let her know that she was the mother of the girl that she had disrespected, and the waitress stated to my mom, good honey because you are where the problem starts teaching your child to do the things she does. My mom at this point got very angry and just told the girl that she would find out the owner's name. I really think it is sad that managers and owners of restaurants let their staff treat people like this. It's really a shame that you can't even go in a restaurant these days and feel safe or...
Read moreI have been a repeat customer of this Vinnys over and over throughout the years. Unfortunately though I will probably not be returning. I ordered 2 things. I was given 1 thing then called much later and asked if I received my other item. No apology was offered. Instead I was given what seemed to be an attitude for the fact that I was bothered about having to drive back 30 minutes for this item. I asked for a fresh sandwich to be made since it was out of my way. I didn't ask for it to be free and that was definitely not offered to me either. I go back to the restaurant and am given the same exact sandwich. The reason I know this is because it was extremely soggy. This has never happened before when I've ordered this sandwich. I have worked in restaurants and unfortunately I know how they handle complaints and it isn't ever in a nice way. I also suspected my food had been possibly in the floor as I saw a strange substance like a thin string hanging from my sub. It didn't even taste like it usually did. So I didn't eat it. I am hungry and out of the money for that sub. I should have requested just a refund. The other item I actually did get to eat was poorly packaged and leaking all over the place. I know it's a Saturday night but this is not how anyone should be treated. I asked to speak to the manager on the phone and that was also not an option. This girl who helped me tonight has been there before working the to go. I have seen her roll her eyes at other customers and act just completely uninterested in being kind. Why is it so hard for someone to just treat someone the way they would want to be treated. I deserved an apology, I deserved a new sub and better service all the way around. Sorry Vinny I won't be back. Make sure you don't upset them or they may tamper...
Read moreOur first time at Vinny's - went with friends who have been there many times. We were seated right away at a table by the window. Vinny's is not a fancy place but that's not what is about; you go for the food and their entrees did not disappoint. We each started with a side salad which consisted of iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion and cucumber. The balsamic dressing was very good. Bread comes right from the oven to the table. Our friends enjoyed it but I was a bit disappointed with the cake like texture. The crust was thin and light where I prefer a heavier crust. The evening special was Shrimp Scampi which my friend ordered. It looked fabulous, the lemony sauce had tender looking butterflied shrimp and sun dried tomatoes. Her husband had Spaghetti and Meatballs; it was a good size portion, smothered in house made sauce with enough left to take some home. My Tortelloni Campagnola was a delicious concoction of cheese stuffed pasta in a creamy red pepper cream sauce with bite size sausage, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and artichokes. As he always does when visiting an Italian restaurant for the first time, my husband ordered Chicken Parmigiana. He said the sauce was tasty but the cheese could have been better quality. The chicken was pounded and done perfectly. There is a small bar. We skipped the hard liquor - my husband had a beer and I had a glass of wine from their shall but varied list. You could also order a bottle. Our server was friendly and attentive. The noise level was low to medium so it was easy to have good conversation. Prices were much better than we are used to. I'm sure we will be visiting Vinny's again in the near future to try it some of the...
