Ok. So I have lived in several places in central north and Jersey Shore in New Jersey. My idea of a deli is a place where you walk in and there’s a couple rows of different products you can buy like a miniature grocery store and candy in either Entenmann’s or Tastykake or things of that nature. Usually a huge deli case and then miscellaneous things and a huge drink selection in several refrigeration units. I walk into Annie’s deli and see very few items for sale couple of chips and pretzel bags one refrigerator with a different couple of your drinks in it and another refrigerator with cakes and stuff but like from a bakery or homemade not from these big box snack cake companies I walk into Annie’s deli and see very few items for sale couple of chips and pretzel bags one refrigerator with a different couple of their drinks in it and another refrigerator with cakes and stuff but like from a bakery or homemade not from these big box snack cake companies It is very tight in there and not a lot of things to purchase so I’m thinking what am I getting myself into and why are they calling this a deli? There is a small to pot coffee maker on the counter and a cash register I look at the menus and realize that’s the one a few things that are like a typical New Jersey deli. The prices seem very reasonable so I’m even more curious as to what type of food it will be and how much food will I be getting for those prices. I know this is kind of long, but just have to explain it. There are two very friendly young ladies working behind the counter who greet me and take my order and an older gentleman comes from the back and takes the order and goes in the back and cooks it for myself and the several other orders that are waiting. I pay for the food and make my cuppa coffee. Well enjoying that delicious cuppa coffee I stand and watch many customers come in and order food. Very short time later, the orders are brought out and we get them and leave. I open the bag and find a very nice sized bacon and egg sandwich on a roll and enjoy it with my cuppa coffee it was absolutely delicious. I was impressed by how much food I got for my price that I paid and how delicious the coffee was. This place doesn’t look like much from the outside or inside but if you’re looking for great sandwiches and great service for a good price, especially in this are, then Annie‘s deli is the place you wanna be. I have only written three reviews on any of the sites out of the thousands of places I have gone but I felt they deserved it because maybe people don’t...
Read moreAnnie Deli have great food I been coming here for over 6 yrs. Some my coworkers come for great breakfast/ special sandwiches. I'm very disappointed give 1star for service I stop in one with my coworker who I spoken highly of great service and food. So when was our turn for younger lady at the register was very pleasant. We as if they made chef salad we seen the regular salad. The taller slimmer young lady answer kind of nasty like yes we make chef salad. So my co worker looks at me like oh so I ask can we have 2 chef salad both with Turkey, Salami, Provolone cheese. No kowning that she ask the girl at the register take salad that was already made and hand her 2 tray. When I tell you she put that salad together so fast made our head spin. We as for little oil and vinegar on the salad she play like she put on it not only we didn't get what we ask for 😪 When we arrived to our school have our lunch before our middle school students get out. I open my salad it was threw together handful Roastbeef ,Ham,Turkey and yellow cheese. The meat and cheese was not cut up we ask for dressing on salad. Nothing but it was in the bag. Just couldn't believe how poorly she put that salad didn't eat i don't eat ham and roast beef. I couldn't believe how she treated us and young lady that was on register just look but she seen her expression was a shock as our.
But Annie I never had nothing bad to ever say about business. Your food very delicious but I felt it but the gentleman that was standing behind us she greeted him by name and big smile. Thank you so much again
But I know how it feel when your not welcome like rest of customers. It show how our...
Read moreAlthough satisfied with the deli products and preparation i was a bit disappointed when picking up and verifying that all food was being prepared by staff without wearing any type of mask. Whether or not these people are vaccinated, there's no stamp on their forehead alerting to such. So, if you do this in the open in the front part of deli, what goes on in the back when cooking hot plates? Since masks are gone I'm sure gloves aren't used either when handling food. Although they have a sign on the door before entering alerting to wear masks, sad they don't follow the same. Also wanted to had that every time I go to this place when paying, they have no shame in asking if I'm leaving a tip Are you serious? Leaving a tip for picking up my own food you're lucky people are giving you business and should be thankful. its not like you're actually serving me at a table back and forth! It should be up to one self to decide whether or not to leave a tip but asking for it is just completely ridiculous and embarrassing. And yes, I believe in tipping when someone actually serves me at a table. You don't see fast food places asking for tips or actually expecting them correct? And maybe they deserve it much more! You guys need to change that...
