Fat Sats Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Belen

I hadn't been here since before COVID and was hopeful that the food would be good. They don't have the same menu that they used to and it's kind of a shame as it was one of the few places you could get a decent prime rib now & then.

I ordered one of the cauliflower crust pizzas, my wife ordered a burger with no bun and fried pickles, and we ordered some wings.

Pizza showed up and was absolutely fantastic, but the burger didn't show up until we asked them. They brought the wrong burger and had a bun on it and french fries so we asked them if they could fix it.

Eventually, they correct burger was brought out, but still had a bun on it. The wings showed up last as we were told they were thawing some when we ordered it.

The two beers we ordered were not in stock and the one that they suggested was fantastic. So how do they get five stars?

Everything was properly cooked and tasted absolutely delicious. They did not charge us for the burger.

A lot of this would be fixed if they just wrote down the order instead of trying to memorize it. Our waitress was a really nice young lady and friendly but did not come back to our table after we...

We had been waiting a couple years for it reopen and had been so excited that it had!! We wanted a local spot to eat with the kids.Worst food ever!! I swear they use sliced generic cheese and melted it in the fries/nachos. They fries seemed old and chewy. The nachos were the same, chips with melted sliced cheese. You could see the lines ending in both where it bubbled from being in the microwave.We brought it to our server attention immediately! She was very embarrassed and then got the cook. He seemed bugged that we complained his response was “ sorry you don’t enjoy them”. We even brought to his attention the “nacho supreme “ has no beans, meat or toppings. The chili fries and nachos were so intolerable and inedible we ordered something else. I was still very disappointed . They didn’t take the items off either the bill or discount them , after we asked to remove the items from the table. The bud light and cider was flat. The waitress informed the bar and we were told “ where having an issue with the dispenser “ the cups were tiny and the prices are not listed. Overall the most disappointing 189...

12-8-2024...Fat Sat's ain't what it used to be...! Menu is way reduced, no steaks, more like fast food oriented this time around. Back in 2015ish, lot's of good options on the menu. Not sure if meat is Harris beef anymore...? No booths inside front room for dining, all just high table - bar like community seating...? Owners need to remember that repeat local business was core to the success last time around. Last time around was interrupted by covid shutdowns I guess, so for 3 years or so the restaurant was not open to retail customers. If the intent to to make it the Belen Bar, then expect that local conservative families will not frequent as often. Waiters are still spooling up, trying to figure out which end is up...like no napkins and no silverware, etc...COMEON OWNERS , WITH ALL THE INVESTMENT YOU'VE MADE, MAKE IT A GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE...that will ensure your success, ever though you gone up in prices like 20-30 % since last time, folks are willing to pay good money for good food and a...
