This restaurant did not turn out to be the amazing place that I had hoped. Upon arrival you enter into this beautiful restaurant and it will have you thinking this is going to be a wonderful experience filled with delicious foods. Finally, a fine dining restaurant nestled in the hills of this small village. But you would be wrong. We sat at a table near the expo window which I thought would be fun to see the dishes prepared and readied to be presented to the waiting guest, instead, I was given the pleasure of listening to the two chefs talking loudly and at times unprofessionally, one of them not wearing gloves (I don’t have an issue with no gloves but when you see them continuously touching their face and then not just the edge of the dishes but also thumbs into the dish, it bothers me) I also witnessed wait staff walking around with a large bundle of steak knives thrusting them at other employees playfully. And the laundry room being exposed was a bit odd. Now I understand that this is an off shoot of another fine dining restaurant but I honestly felt with the way it was being managed it did not gain the respect that such a place demands. It felt as though someone had a great idea and then got all their buddies together to run the place. Our server, Brylee, was the only saving grace. She was attentive and helpful with describing the food. I was very disappointed to find out from others that we should have been served bread and oil, which if done properly is something we really love. The calamari was prepared quite well, though it is frustrating that there was marinara put on the plate first to stop the food from sliding as all this truly proved to do is take away from the crispness of the dish. The bread with goat cheese was ok but lacked flavor, also the cheese was young so it was grainy feeling in the mouth as opposed to an aged goat cheese that is creamy and smooth. We had the scaloppine di pollo and asked that the mushrooms be placed on the side as my wife doesn’t like them, the flavor is fine just not whole pieces. When we asked Brylee if this could be done she said yes and then no, she stated it all came together that way. This answer leads me to wonder if the sauce is home made. When the dish arrived at our table all the mushrooms were on the center of the chicken and not throughout the dish which tells me they are most likely added after the fact. Also, when our bread and calamari were placed in a to-go box, it would have been nice if they were in separate boxes. This restaurant has such great potential if only it were managed as a fine dining restaurant and not like a hangout for friends to play around. I’m not saying don’t have fun at work and always be serious, but act accordingly to the environment you wish to present. People don’t pay higher prices to watch people play around, they pay for the experience. The food is very good, though I know it sounds as though I didn’t like it, it is more the atmosphere that I believe needs improvement. When a place charges such high prices and doesn’t provide the experience you hoped to have, it is quite...
Read moreFive stars all the way! We had a phenomenal dinner at Bella’s Table in Bella Vista, Arkansas. From start to finish, everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.
We began with two antipasti:
The Stuffed Focaccia was a warm, savory bread filled with creamy cheese, peas, and corn — super fresh and comforting.
The Bruschetta Bella featured toasted bread topped with tomatoes and onions — lightly oiled, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor.
For drinks, we had a Moscato and a frizzante. One (possibly the Tiepolo Frizzante) was beautifully garnished and especially refreshing.
Then came the mains, and they truly blew us away:
I had the halibut and risotto — hands down one of the best risottos I’ve ever had. It had a unique sweet-savory flavor I really enjoyed. The halibut was flaky, tender, and seasoned to perfection.
My wife had the Filetto Di Salmone, which is cedar-wrapped teriyaki salmon served with risotto and bok choy. Another outstanding dish — flavorful and cooked just right.
The kids had a gluten-free cheese pizza, which tasted like a solid gluten-free option — simple and satisfying.
For dessert, we had both the cheesecake and the tiramisu:
The cheesecake was exceptional. The crust was perfectly balanced — not too dry, not too moist — and paired beautifully with the creamy filling. It was topped with two date garnishes that were both unexpected and delicious.
We packed the tiramisu to go — my wife said it was really good!
Our server, Mauricio, was excellent. He made sure all of our dishes were nut-free (a big deal for us), and even made our drinks. His service was attentive, friendly, and on point.
Every dish tasted fresh and was plated with care. Great atmosphere, great food, and great service. We’ll...
Read moreI will start by saying our food was delicious. All four of our entrees were prepared well and the flavors were quite nice.
When we arrived, we informed the hostess we had a reservation which she said she could not find. We told her who we talked to; she merely told us that person doesn’t speak much English (was she calling us liars, or blaming the other person?). There were tables/booths available so it was not a huge deal. We did ask for a table instead of a booth and were informed that was not possible because she had to follow the server rotation. Not really the answer we felt was appropriate.
Our server was friendly, but not very attentive. He seemed more interested in taking our food order before we even had water on the table. Kudos that he did ask about any dietary restrictions or allergies. He also asked for ID for everyone at the table before ringing in the bottle of wine. OK, I get practicing safe alcohol serving practices…but two of the people at the table are 75 and 86. Really? Pretty sure the state alcohol commission isn’t going to be busting these two. 😂
Apparently the place has been having A/C issues. This was our first time, but the couple we went with mentioned the multiple (noisy) fans were an ongoing thing.
Overall, we would likely eat at Bella’s Table again. We have eaten at another of their concepts and it was truly amazing. As mentioned at he top…the food...
