China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Belle Fourche

Food is delicious, the kids that wait on u are so nice and polite. But all positive things to say were ruined the last time I and my daughter. went in. None of the kids were there and the mother was horrible to us. Downright hostile. I finally I asked her if we had come at the wrong time. (It was 2 in afternoon and we were the only customers) First, she grumpily seated us, then didn’t bring us anything to drink. After some minutes I asked if we could get something to drink and she asked if we were ready to order food as well, which we weren’t. She went off all irritated and started washing a table and chairs! Finally, got done washing and went and got our drinks. When I asked what vegetables were in the Almond Chicken, she got all huffy and asked that, ‘haven’t u ordered it before?’ rudely. It was bad. My daughter and I were appalled. No tip from us! So., an update from my last review! I decided to give these guys another chance and met a couple friends there with our kids for lunch. She confronted me in the restaurant with othe patrons sitting around and demanded I leave and she would not serve me again. So me and my two kids left and will never return. She still maintains she did nothing wrong. 😰 So sad how people can’t take responsibility for their poor actions...

I recently drove from California to Spearfish, SD to visit my friend. My friend brought me to this nice Chinese restaurant to have dinner. We truly had a good time there. The food is delicious and in a good portion. The owner Helen and her employees are super nice. They constantly filled up my water cup so I don't even need to ask. They always checked on us to make sure everything is OK. I have tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in California and in my opinion, this is the best Chinese restaurant I ever visited. I am very impressive about Helen's restaurant and the excellent service they provided. Her restaurant is really a hidden gem in black hill. I will visit the New China Garden again next time I...

Seriously one of the best Chinese/Asian restaurants in the hills. I am picky. They are SO service oriented! Super clean prep, super NICE people -- gracious to a tee! This now beats out Miss Kitty's and others for the best in SD that we have found. LOVE THEM!! Try the cherry pork, pork appetizers, general tso's and their steam veggies! Great portions, nice people and yummy egg rolls, with almost a eastern flavor (maybe cinnamon??) in it. LOVE THEM. I have tried chinese in Vancouver, SF Bay Area, Seattle and these folks are really talented and have fresh flavors. NOT GREASY!
