I’ve been coming to Belle Fourche for many years and have eaten at stadium SPORTS BAR and Grill multiple times. After today, NEVER again! We come in and sit down and wait patiently for the server to come to the table. We give her our drink orders and then politely ask her if she could change a tv to a football game we wanted to see… after all, it is college football Saturday and again this is a SPORTS BAR. Her response was “ I don’t know, “ at first I thought she was joking as I’ve never heard anyone in customer service say this to a patron.. her next response is “I’ll know when I know” …. At this point, I’m not entirely sure what that even means so I let it go. Keep in mind, there are at least 3-4 empty booths and a few open tables at 3:00 in the day so it isn’t a crazy lunch rush.. we wait 14 minutes and no attempt to turn the tv has been made so we ask the owner. He says “yea no problem” a few minutes later the original disgruntled server starts to change the channel. Owner ask her “ did they ask you to change the channel? She responds yes I told them I would get to it when I could.. (not what she told us) the owner responds with “why in the hell did they ask me then ” loud enough for multiple people to hear this. Extremely unprofessional… the disgruntled server then yells at us “did you ask us both”?? To which we replied yes, 14 minutes ago. We apologize for coming to a sports bar and expecting SPORTS to be on the TV. Again, I worked in the food service industry as a college student so I understand busy… this was not busy… but it was extremely unprofessional and flat out rude! Every bit of this went on while our drinks were sitting completely empty… if a little bit of pressure calls for you to be unprofessional and can’t handle the moment, I’d advise you to find a new career path… we greatly apologize for expecting SPORTS to be on the TVs at a SPORTS BAR at 3:00 on a Saturday with half capacity filled in the restaurant. If you are coming through Belle I strongly recommend you to find ANYWHERE...
Read moreThe waitress snapped at the very shy 6 year old in our party because she was unsure what she wanted to order, and immediately after that was very impatient with a 10 year old who took an extra second to remember what he wanted to order. Then, as we were talking and sharing a video of the kids' sports with our visiting friend, the waitress came by and informed us that they "don't allow speaker phones", and that we could "finish that one, but no more." It is important to note the video was quiet enough that individuals in our party who were at the opposite end of the table could not hear it. When the bill came, 18% gratuity was already added, despite the unbelievably rude service. We asked the waitress at that time why they had the speakerphone rule, and she looked us directlt in the eye and said "its annoying." In honor of that ridiculous, rude answer, here is a list of some of the things that annoyed me about this experience: I found it annoying that the food was mediocre and not hot. I found it annoying that this employee didnt have the decency to be kind and patient with children. I found it annoying to have to cover my glass with my hand for the duration of the meal in order to keep the flies out. I found it annoying that they added gratuity automatically despite horrendous service. I found it annoying that they would have such a tone deaf, offensive rule that is so unfriendly to happy gatherings of any sort...and then have the nerve to enforce it in such a completely rude way. I found it annoying that this employee created a bad memory for us. Do not visit this place. McDonalds will have similar food quality and will attend your needs better and with more civility.
Update: less than a week after this was posted, the owner attempted to take revenge on our party for the negative...
Read moreI will say that it has been a while since this happened, but we haven't been back since. This used to be my favorite place to go watch football and eat tips. Not anymore.
We went in, were seated for a few minutes, the waitress came over, and asked if we wanted anything to drink and if we were ready to order. We responded with our drink order and asked for a few minutes to browse the menu. Drinks were brought over, and the waitress walked away. We decided what we wanted to order and proceeded to wait for her to come back so we could order.... well, after about 7 minutes, we saw her and she went over to bus a table 2 tables over. She ignored us, and I watched her walk to the door, go outside to have a cigarette, and we noticed another employee (which I later found out was the owner's wife) bussing a table not too far away from where we were sitting. My boyfriend said, "Would you tell our waitress we are ready to order." She replied, "She'll be there when she gets there. You'll just have to wait." We got up...
