Mr. Shrimp SEAFOOD MARKET — Restaurant in Belle Glade

I went in for a Seafood Shrimp and Crab Boil. The total was $26 including tax. The boil was not to my liking because for one I felt like it was a little bit of food for $26. The potatoes looked funny and I taste one shrimp and it was not good at all. Granted I left out of the resturant and returned back to explain to the man at the counter that I was not satisfied with the food and requested a refund. He told me that they do not offer refunds. I told him that I did not think it was worth $26 and I don’t like how the shrimp taste. Mind you I only tried ONE SHRIMP. Spit it out because it was rubbery and the season was off. He was instantly agruementive with me because I wanted a refund. After telling him I was going to leave a bad review he then offered me more shrimp. I told him I didn’t want the shrimp I just wanted my money back. The guy accused me of wanting FREE FOOD because I didn’t take his offer for adding more shrimp. He laughed in my face with the other workers that were cooking the food. I am not confrontational at all but with his attitude I was a little upset with the back and forth. Mind you there were other customers in the restaurant. Then he all together said I wasn’t getting anything at all and told me to leave the store and proceeded to take the next person order. I just left the food there all together and counted my $26 as a lost. I was so upset with the way he treated me all. Ive always at here growing up and this was the first time i felt disrespected. Wow Been coming here for years. The updates to the restaurant are amazing. If you get a chance look at the new art on plaza wall!!! Sick shark And by far this is The Mr. shrimp. (There are other locations ..but this one has the OG menu and some items you can't find at other locations !!!)

Totally fam owned. It can be slow paced at times but it's a small town and food made fresh!

Now for the food. My fav is half pound shrimp BG style which is spicy & buttery! Fried shrimp is amazing. No idea how the batter is made but i swear it's the only fried batter with this spice & delicious taste.

CONCH SALAD. Don't question it. Just buy it. My dads fav. Hell eat it like a soup which is weird but hey.

Marketplace style brings a whole new vibe too. Yummy market items you can't find in other places and the prices are good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and the drive to Belle glade is so beautiful. If ur lucky might see a gator on side of...

If you are in the area this is a good spot to stop and get some great seafood... Shrimp, Lobster, Crab etc. with all the fixings. Huge portions prepared while you wait. If you are sensitive to garlic ask them to go easy when making your stuff. They are NOT bashful with the garlic. Easy to notice in normal traffic. Semi (bobtail) accessible for a quick bite while waiting on your appointment time. They also have drinks of all sorts, ice cream, slushies, etc...kind of a mini grocery store inside. You can eat in or carry out. There is a butcher just next door with a nice setup unfortunately they NO longer make sandwiches as the sign reads just outside the place. For those of you who do not like seafood and are looking for something other than seafood you will have to go elsewhere.
