Wah Lan Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Belle Glade

I USED TO frequent this restaurant but because of this most recent instance, although not the first time they were like this, caused it to be the last time I’ll ever order from them.

I ordered ahead, only to arrive to the restaurant to wait another ~30 minutes because the food was not ready. Upon initial arrival, person/cashier was very rude toward me (I.e., I asked for how much longer the food would take and she was already yelling, stating “Can’t you see there’s a lot of people and my hands are tied”) and this behavior persisted until I was handed, or more appropriately shoved over my food. Which, btw, she insisted that I pay for before I received it.

Anyways, 100/10 would not recommend if you want your appetite ruined by rude...

Atmosphere was very pleasant. It is a full nuclear Chinese experience. The hard working couple and the elderly help embodies American ideals with Eastern pleasantries. And the food was excellent, yo.I got me some savoring shrimp and teriyaki chicken. It was bomb. There was sucelant duck too. And the best was the Wotan soup. I have had many American Chinese Wotan around the East coast and these were by far the best I have experience. Selections are limited but they make it up with quality and freshing by cooking in smaller batches.

Updated 2018: Well their Wotan Soup is okay now. Everything else is as expected compared to any other "Chinese" restaurants. there's no more green veggie dishes just meat. but it still has a charm to...

So I have never stepped foot in this place, it was hyped up from a friend of mine. I thought “a Chinese food spot? In Belle Glade?”… You guys. This is one of the BEST Chinese food places I’ve eaten from. Wish they had a closer location to WPB, they’d make a KILLING! My good friend who goes to Belle Glade often always brings me some. Both him and WahLan are the REAL mvp’s!!! Get the general tso, but the real shining light is their fried rice! OPEN A SPOT...
