Located in the heart of Bellflower, California, Lo Roko restaurant provides an exceptional culinary experience that reflects the richness of its culture. Hello everyone... our review (because usually we come here with two or three families the weekends but not happy to come back).... 1)The restaura is descent, I would say a family oriented and educated restaurant about the modern looking , clean, and not that type of regular restaurants with that loud ugly music and with people getting drunk and not behaving (because many of this restaurants you can not come with your family or friends to have a nice time eating because of the ambient) but this restaurant is different about that I would give them a 4 stars about that ... 2) The food is okay , I would like to say very good but is not the case because some plates that you order are okay (not really good ) for example I would say the yuca con chicharrones sometimes the meat in the chicharrones is moist (not dry) and sometimes they are bad(very dry or hard to eat)... this is just one example , we can go on and on.

THIS IS MY CON...WHAT I THINK IS BAD... First I would say that on weekends food takes forever (too long) and is frustrating especially if you have kids and I can tell you every occupied table that I have seen there is with kids...even dough if you order just pupusas they take like one hour which is way to long for a pupusas (but is the same with any other plate that you order , takes too long). Second , if the owner know that the food takes too long , why they don’t serve some chips with salsa or chips with fried beans like other low quality restaurants (at least they have that nice detail) because you can eat something by the time...

Today we went for lunch at this restaurant and we never expected to receive the worst case of customer service I've ever experienced. We order de 7 seas cream soup and we were extremely hesitant to order and we asked our server is the seafood fresh. Our server said, "no one has ever complaint." So we decided to try it. To our horror, the seafood was dry. I DON'T know how you manage to cook seafood in a soup and make taste like beefjerky. We told one of the servers, not the one that took our order first, that we were disappointed that the seafood was so dry and overcooked.

She went to tell the manager and she came back and told us that the manager, Couldn't do anything and that we could just eat the soup or we could order something else but we had to pay for it and that if we choose not to eat the soup they will charge it still!

1st of all, I wasn't asking for a refund. Just wanted to let her know we didn't enjoy the soup. We didn't think she would get offended or the manager not have the decency to come to our table and explain to us herself. The server was so condescending and rude. She made us feel like we were asking for a free meal. Which we were not! We were just telling her we didn't like the soup and we wanted to order something else, regardless if they were going to charge us for the soup. She made us feel so uncomfortable and uneasy, we were shocked. We paid and left. We will never be patrons to this establishment and we definitely advise our friends and family not to be patrons to such...

One of my favorite Salvadoran restaurants in Norwalk is Lo'roko Pupuseria & Grill, located off Rosecrans and Woodruff Ave. This place serves authentic Salvadoran food and drinks that will remind you of your home country. It's situated inside a plaza with ample parking, and the restaurant has a cozy, homey atmosphere. The walls are adorned with beautiful art, there are a few TVs, and the overall ambiance is calm and pleasant. Although I always order their freshly made pupusas, I went with Caldo de Camaron for takeout today. Once I placed my order, the lovely waitress said it would take about 15 to 20 minutes, which I knew meant it would be fresh. If you do not wish to wait that long, I encourage you to call ahead, and it will be ready for pick up once you arrive. My order came with two freshly made tortillas, cilantro, onions, a slice of lemon on the side, rice, and my hot caldo de camaron with plenty of shrimp. When I say hot, I mean temperature hot, so use caution. If you're near the area, stop by and visit this place. It won't disappoint you.

My gf and I came to Lo'roko as she already try it the first time and she wanted us to come and try it out we both order pupusas she order the chicken and i order the revuelta and jalapeno con queso lastly plátanos fritos with refried beans and crema she order a champan and I order a agua de ensalada which was really good the owner of the place came to each table and greet us that is something that ever place should be doing to connect to their customers it was a nice gesture also he did explain that their food takes a long time as they cook their food from scratch that is why everything should be fresh i recommend this place and i would come back food for 2 people and drinks were less than 40$ that's not bad

Came to get some pupusas, not very satisfied with the taste. I got "revueltas", a blend of pork beans and cheese. In my batch of pupusas I was served it basically had little to no cheese inside. It had sufficient beans and pork. Aside from that service wasn't the greatest either, was waiting a long time, waitress didn't make eye contact with me, my party had to, only then did we get attended to. This was a solid 25 minutes wait to have our order taken. The menu says that the food will be about a 20 minute wait, which is fine. Upon arrival of my food it was on the colder side, as if it had been waiting to be served for some time. I would not come back again based on this experience myself and my party had.
