We are Local Residents of Bellmead.. Moved here in 2012 and Bought a Home.. We Absolutely love the Old Dinner/Cafe feel of thus Long Tine Local Landmark.. The Original Parks has been a Loved Town Family's for Decades.. Now Taken over and Ran by a Fantastic and Kind Lady.. She Not Only Keep the Original abd Beloved Space as the Meeting place it Has Always Been While Making it Her Own by Adding a Delicious and Mouth Watering Mexican to the Menu 😋 We are Addicted to the Amazing Breakfast Tacos and Burritos!! The Prices are Reasonable, Food is Outstanding and Service it Great.. Bonus for Me is to See a Strong Hispanic Women Owning, Running and Carrying on Our Lil City of Bellmead.. Carrying on the Tradition and Community with Love.. The service was great at first but immediately after we were served we were asked if we were good. Understandable. We said yes. 3 mins later..."are y'all good over here?" My table mates were beginning to feel like maybe we were being rushed, in an effort to turn the table over. One of my table mates was so irritated by this that he began to get angry. After some discussion it was agreed upon that perhaps it was just a lack of communication between wait staff and management that caused the double ask. Just as soon as my friend is calmed down and we're all laughing again, again a waitress appeared at our table and again she asked "are y'all good here, do y'all need anything?" I had to laugh at the ridiculousness of it, and as my friend is explaining how it feels like were being rushed the waitress says "oh no, it's not like that at all, take your time. here's your check." This is they type of place you would go to that will give you what you have been missing when you are away from home"A REAL HOME COOKED MEAL"!!!!!! I love this place & my grandmother (Dr. Mable Wilburn) went there all the time because she didn't cook & she could get a nice home cooked meal to take home with her for a great price. I love it better than Golden Corral!!!!!! You fix your own plate & get as much or as little as you want. The peach cobbler is great also! Please don't think of this place fancy but think of it as a down home feel. This place give you home away from home or home when you don't feel like cooking.
