Frekin Gud BBQ — Restaurant in Bellmead

I have visited this establishment several times & at first it was kinda hit or miss when it came to quality of the food. However, on my last 2 visits my ribs were burned. This last visit the young lady takes my order & then puts something in the microwave. When I get home I realized she tried to COOK not warm in the microwave. There was no smoke at all in my sausage. They were extremely lightin color & still cold in the center, however the edges were very done. Indicative of someone putting sausage in a microwave & selling it as BBQ. That was my last donation to freq n gud.

& prior to the owner responding... I left the store with the food & noticed my food had no smoke smell a few blocks away. There is a NEW sign at the register stating."PLEASE CHECK FOOD PRIOR TO LEAVING, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FOOD AFTER IT LEAVES THE STORE. & my attitude is not the greatest so I felt it was best not to return. Rather than asking why didnt someone contact the owner, I guess a better question would be... Why are you serving meat out of the microwave & calling...

The name says it all...Frekin Gud BBQ! The chopped brisket is so tender & tasty that one does not need to add BBQ sauce, but if you do add it, their BBQ sauces are excellent! This is our 1st visit and we will be back! No need to spend big money at those other BBQ places, this mom and pop BBQ shop has it all, even for XL Families who can eat! All at affordable prices. We spoke with a returning customer who has been eating here for the last 2 years and she said everything on the menu is excellent. Today was busy for them as the ran out of BBQ chicken, so I will be trying that on our next visit. Hubby had the Loaded Baked Potato with Chopped Brisket...yum! One last item to mention. Dessert! Like I said it sucks. Will never go there again flies where there today. My wife and mother n law agree. So that makes 3 not 1and many more. I was there for your grand opening bbq sauce was horrible then and it still is. Next time make sure those two girls you have working there wash their hands after handling trash and smoking cigarettes before handling people's food,that's a BIG (NO NO). That made me walk our of there with my friend today,she wanted to try it on her lunch break not,I'm not to fond of it,but hey you keep pushing it can only get better I hope. I asked about the meat,your own employees talked bad about it. Damn shame... I'm a mystery shopper it's my job. I'll come through again and see what I see tomorrow I'll let you know who I'am when...
