We recently went to the brick & mortar store. It's not too big, you literally go through the door: place your order, pay, and walk out with your order. It's a pretty efficient and seamless option.
They have outside dining area. Parking lot is pretty big because it's shared with other businesses.
We came here for lunch and I was sad we weren't here earlier for breakfast. The menu sounded like a pretty good spread and they open at 6am. I'm not sure if that's weekends only or everyday that they are open. If I lived closer, I'd definitely be here to try breakfast.
We ordered:
Pulled pork sliders: Amazing with the fries.
2 way meat: brisket and tri tip were ok. A little over cooked for my liking. They ran out of mac n cheese and it was another 25 minutes for a fresh batch. I ended up going with potato salad which was pretty good.
Beef hot link: Ordered a side because I had to try it. To me it was pretty hot and spicy but flavorful.
Cali drip: I didn't know until leaving a review that this was the same place we tried in Vallejo. It was still disappointing to me in my opinion but my standards are pretty high for a calamansi drink.
Sunset drink: I forgot the name but this is delicious. It had bits of mango with cranberry juice.
Overall, a good experience. I'll for sure come back soon to try breakfast
This review is for the food truck.. We had the pleasure of trying their food in Downtown Vallejo. They were one of the vendors at the Battle in the Bay Car Show by Chelu Family CC. The lady who took my order was super nice, but I do have to warn you that the prices are a little steep. $8 for 1 bbq skewer? I didn't try this, but I did try:
Mexipino lumpia (birria lumpia?) - This was delicious and less messier to eat than a taco. It had the same great flavors. $15 for 4 pieces cut in half was steep, but it did hit the spot at the event.
Cali drip - I was excited to try this. I'm a big fan of calamansi. Sadly, this disappointed me. It was all sugar and less tart. It reminded me of the sugary kool-aid my aunties and uncle's used to make. It's like when you buy an alcoholic beverage and it has no alcohol.
I'd love to give this place another try and maybe try...
Read moreOk Kieth Lee from TikTok has got to try this restaurant. I'm going to send him this restaurant to try and review. This place was my first time trying since we were in the neighborhood. The pulled pork sandwich with fries was the BEST sandwich ever! They left the sauce on the side which was good because everyone is different how saturated they want the meat. The toasted fresh bread plus the pork had this amazing smoke tender flavor. Its almost as odd they roasted the pig in the ground for hours. Maybe they did, i don't know. All I know I was speechless how good it was. Even the seasoned fries were bomb. I then tried there fried oreos which were amazing. To bag I live 2 hours away to eat this place on a regular. The staff were so attentive and friendly. They even came out to check how the food was. As you can see they have a 4.5 star yet if your reading the reviews this place is a must. I...
Read moreWent there on a recommendation if a coworker. Glad I did. Some of the best bbq around short of going to Texas. Had a two way with ribs and tri tip. Excellent. My sides were the beans and potato salad. Liked both, the beans are not like the typical canned baked beans, seems to be more a honey based sauce instead of molasses. The potato salad was lighter on mayo the way I like it and adding shredded cheddar cheese. Diffinently something I'm going to add to my potato salad. Like typical bbq it's not cheap. It's 30 bucks for two way with two sides and a sweet tea that's not just tea with sugar dumped in it. Comes with a mild and hot bbq dipping sauce. Get there early, they close when sold out. Have chicken, hot links and smash burgers as well. Going...
