The ratings below must be for the Langhorne location. Ok, honestly they do deserve a star, the staff and the delivery boy are nice and prompt. But the decent experience ends there. The owner is no longer the same owner as the Langhorne location (something I found out about after $12 for an extra cheese 10' cardboard, disgusting pizza pie!). I will start from the beginning:
I ordered using the online menu (DO NOT DO THIS FOR THE BENSALEM LOCATION! Something they do not tell you). I ordered a 12" sicilian and was informed that they only had 10, 14, and 16, so I ordered a 10 with extra cheese and a side order of buffalo chicken fingers. Afterwards I realized that they had desserts and called to add them, I was told that the Bensalem location did not have desserts so I left my order as is. The delivery boy was prompt and courteous, my food arrived hot. When I opened my order I found that I had received a regular 10' pie (see above) and chicken fingers dipped in hot sauce (the most pathetic excuse for buffalo chicken fingers I have ever met!). I called back to this location and was informed they only have the 16' sicilian and that she never heard me say sicilian (she argued with me which was understandable as she did not realize that the online menu was entriely incorrect for this location). This location did nothing to help mend this situation, so figuring the owner was probably at the Langhorne location (as that was the original) I called to explain the dilhemma and let him know that he should have his online menu say that it is strictly for the Langhorne location to avoid confusion, he apologized and made me aware that the Bensalem location and Langhorne location are no longer affiliated, he has been working to have the site fixed. Obviously as the Bensalem location is no longer his problem he did nothing as well.
It could be possible that the Langhorne location is good...I will never know because after this irritating confusion I will not be returning, but whatever you do, DO NOT order from the Bensalem location. The food is probably the worst I have ever had for a pizza shop, their online menu does not apply to them, and they lack customer appreciation. This is coming from a person who deals with the public on a daily basis and I understand that in these economic times repeat business and word of mouth are the best ways to stay in business, so customer...
Read moreMy wife and I loved Tony's (Bensalem) years ago. Then, they changed ownership and/or management. It was not good for a couple years. We know because we would try them once in a while. Eventually, they were good again. However, tonight (11-3-17) we ordered a large pizza with 1/2 ham, a Sicilian Pie with toppings, a Sausage Parmesan Sandwich and Fries... and it was not very good overall. Now, I should tell you that, when I called to discuss the problems, I was informed, by one of the owners, that there is new ownership as of 3 days ago. I will say that our regular pizza was "good" according to our kids. The french fries were also "good". However, my wife's Sausage Parmesan had about 4 ounces of sausage in it. I know because it was so ridiculously light in meat that we took it out and weighed it. The bread, sauce and cheese weight much more. Around here, 4 ounces of sausage costs about $0.75. Then there's my Sicilian Pizza. It looked great when I opened the box. It looked great on my plate. Then I tasted it. There was a strong burn taste and it was mushy. I turned it over and the crust was burnt. I checked other pieces in the box. They were burnt. I slid the toppings off of a slice and could easily tell the dough was under-cooked. I moved it around like 'play-dough'. The only positives to this was that my kids were OK with their pizza, the fries were tasty and they eventually refunded my money. But first, they tried to get me to take a store credit, so I'd have to order from them again. It will be a while before my wife and...
Read moreI had an order that was supposed to be delivered between 6 PM and 6:20 PM. At 6:33 I called the store and was told that it was delivered. It was left in a puddle of water in the rain. I said it was supposed to be handed to me. The snippy person on the phone said that I asked for contactless delivery! If you look at the photo, it says HAND IT TO ME! So she pretty much called me a liar and I don't appreciate that one bit. I am 77 and just had hand surgery so I can't cook. I don't feel well as it is and this ruined the rest of my day! Everything was ice cold and the french fries were greasy. The rest of the food is not worth mentioning because it was cold and wet. I just wasted my money and got grief on top of it. I usually give restaurants 4 or 5 stars but not this one. They wouldn't like it if they were...
