Fox's Pizza Den — Restaurant in Bentleyville

We have eaten here for years. Today we waited an hour and 45 minutes for our food. We called to ask if there were issues an hour in and was told the driver had a lot of orders and was behind. 45 minutes later she got here. This wasn’t a driver issue. Manager should have reached out and said something was going on. They had too many order and know our address. They could have called and we could have walked over. They could have offered a discount or add something small to the account. Nothing. The food was cold by the time it got here. Over the years there have been issues. Small but we were fine with them. This order has really pushed us to just not eat here anymore. It’s sad bc they are local people and we know the drivers. But there need to be better customer service for an issue like this almost two hours and you get cold food and they just say sorry. It’s messed up.

What I meant about management was how the orders are taken in and distributed. A call to online orders about the delay would have been helpful. We could have canceled or walked in. We order Fox's Pizza a lot. I'm never blown away by it but it's never so bad that we wouldn't go back. Today was a deciding day though and we will never order from here again. I ordered a medium pizza and whole hoagie which came to $19.63. We thought it seemed a little high but didn't put too much thought into it. When I went to pick it up I saw a sign out front that said 1 Large 1 topping pizza, a whole hoagie & 2 Liter Pop for $19.99. When I went inside and asked the guy who checked me out why I was paying the same price for way less he was clueless. The owner was there and said that he offers that special all the time and there is a coupon for it but I didn't need to have it, I could just call and mention it. When I called I asked the girl taking my order if there were any specials and she said there was only a 2 pizza of the same size with one topping each deal. They couldn't have cared less about my gripe. I understand coupons and deals and specials, but to me this was a very poor display of customer service. We hosted a large function and included Fox's pizza as part of our buffet. We preordered and paid for six of Fox's "The Big One" pizzas, all with just pepperoni. We also ordered two regular large pizzas without cheese, for our guests with dairy allergies. We declared a date and time that we would be picking the food up when we placed the order. We were warned by Fox's to bring a large vehicle to pick them up, as they are very, very large and will not fit in a car. We never gave a second thought to that order again, until it was time to pick it up. My niece and her spouse took their SUV, the receipt, and tip money to pick up the pizzas on time. Fox’s had the pizza ready to go on time, it was hot and delicious. Everyone at the function enjoyed the pizza, and was shocked at how big the pizzas were.
