Golden Dragon — Restaurant in Bentleyville

horrible, staff was nice but the food is awful, have lived here since 2018, tried multiple things on the menu at different time and each time it was more disappointing. I live 2 minutes away and would rather drive 20+ minutes to any other location than go here. The takeout by shopnsave and on jefferson are much better and China City by Robinson is the best Ive had in the area hands down.

When I moved here in 2018 I was excited to find a local joint like this...that is until i tried the food. Everything is either overcooked, overly sweet, or just poorly prepared,

Ive tried crab ragoons way too sweet, White rice overcooked, multiple different chicken dishes and some were nearly inedible and as a 400lb man I don't throw out food often. Ive tried Mongolian Beef, beef lo mien, etc and each time its a let down.

I have given them multiple chances over the years because of all the rave and positive reviews but I PROMISE you anywhere but here is going to be better. Ive even had friends from out of state, or even family try it and it missed the mark on over dozens of pallets.

The place is clean, staff is either friendly with a smile or neutral but not really negative, I just wish the food was better because it sucks to have to drive 2-3 towns over just to get...

Food always fresh and consistent every time we visit. In my own experience with local Chinese food restaurants......it always seems the flavor could be a hit or miss depending on what you order. If it's not a popular (moving) item, you can guarantee that you will be eating something that has been sitting around for a week....and the flavor is distorted. I have never had the experience here, and never regretted anything I've ever ordered.

Also, the service is great, and entertaining to watch while your food is being cooked. The girl who takes orders is very patient with everyone (who can't pronounce the food items), and it's funny to watch her hold back from laughing hysterically. I can't imagine what it would be like to constantly try to figure out what the customers want.

Anyway, this is the only Chinese restaurant I trust and will eat in the area ....and deserves many more stars than 5 for the Quality and Taste.

It's worth trying, experimenting, and going back...

Best Chinese food in Washington County, hands down. Food is made when you order it. It is obvious that all of the vegetables are freshly prepared. Everyone inside is always very nice and friendly. Food is always delicious! Also, I am a huge hot and sour soup fan, theirs rules! The crabmeat rangoons are to die for. Fried dumplings are awesome. No weird dark chicken pieces (like a lot of competitors). I highly recommend this place, my co-workers and I eat here at least once or...
