Where do I begin with my North Benton brewery experienced? I checked around onky to see two breweries online located in this quaint Michigan town. The Livery did not sell bottles or cans to go, and when yiure traveling in a budget, sometimes buying individual cans and a sticker is the best bet. I walked into the sleek, stylish, and retro establishment that feature a beautiful wooden inhierior finish, with a nice seating area, and a beautiful wood finished bar. They have an old school Nintendo video game system available for anyone to play, and they also have an amazing outdoor sitting area. My bar tender Mikey G showed taught me a lot of new things about the West Coast of Michigan, while also making my beer tasting experience worth every second. We ended up trading stickers and stories, while I selected my individual beers to take home with me. The other bartender on staff, Kayla, also greeted me with a huge smile, her accepting attitude made it feel like I was truly welcome to North Pier Brewing. The flat bread was very good overall and was piled with plenty of toppings. It wasn't piping hot, it looked like it may have sat out for a few minutes before being brought to the table. Even so it was tasty and had a good blend of flavors. Could have used a bit more bacon, it tended to get lost in the ground beef.
The poutine was fantastic with one sizeable caveat: the gravy was very salty. It may have been an off-batch but it was quite overwhelming, still a good dish in spite of it. Tons of pork and cheese curds. Solid fries, could be a touch crispier for my taste. Some green onions sprinkled on top and less salty gravy would make this some killer poutine.
Overall I'll...
