I am not sure if this is a regular occurrence but maybe it's because we are from out of town. Our waitress was new but this is forgiveable. The food was just ok, any diner serves this type of fair, but it's not the food that concerns me it was the tiny blond waitress(wait staff-but not our waitress) that at exactly 8pm with her mop bucket and broom. She yelled at the other wait staff to start cleaning. We were almost done eating but did not feel welcome, especially when they brought the mop bucket to our table and swept and mopped right in front of us and the mop water smelled like mildew. We paid 48.00 for what was fair food and really unorganized staff who didn't care about us. We were done at 8:08. 8 minutes past close. Unacceptable! I will not be back. Where I work we don't clean until we lock the doors so customers don't feel this way. The little blond waitress was in such a hurry she knocked over a chair. She didn't move anything just swept fast like she had to be somewhere.
I don't think this review will do any good as I don't see any responses to even good reviews. Like...
Read moreI ordered a steak dinner, and the menu said it was 14.99. The steak had several sections that were nothing but gristle, and it was cooked medium well, not medium. It tasted good, though, so I didn't complain. The green beans aren't seasoned well, but that was fine by me. I was able to salt them as I wanted. Salad was great. The problem I had was that when I reached the counter to pay, the steak was 16.59, not what the menu stated. Then, I had to pay a fee to use my debit card. What??? In today's age where almost no one uses cash???? It cost me 20.00 for lunch. I was home in my hometown for vacation, and Mom and I went out to eat after church. I had never eaten at The Cozy Table. Cozy?????? Not with the darn fly that was driving both mom, me, and the table across from us, crazy. I think I should have chosen Burton's, which was mom's alternate choice. Next time, I will. I do have to say that the waitress was awesome. I would eat there again if I had a group that decided this was where they wanted to go, but not if it's my choice. Let's do La...
Read moreMy fiance and I decided to try somewhere different than our usual hole in the wall restaurant. This one is not a hole in the wall but an all around little cozy family restaurant. The staff are friendly and I do appreciate good friendly staff especially when they are great towards each other. I simply wish the food was a bit better, what I mean is it looked good but lacked flavor. Both myself and my fiance ordered the 6oz ribeye with eggs, hashbrowns, eggs and toast as well as a order of French toast with strawberries and whipped cream on top. The steak looked a little worse for wear and lack any kind of flavoring, it's like it was just pulled out of the fridge and slapped on the grill. The eggs and hashbrowns had to be seasoned with salt and pepper. The French toast wasn't terrible, but still somehow managed to lack some flavoring. Though it is a cozy little place it seems like it is more fitting...
