My wife Breanna and I had the pleasure of dining at Taco Vez, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The attentive staff made us feel welcome and attended to our every need throughout the evening. Starting with the fondue-style queso, we were immediately impressed by the creamy and flavorful dip. The combination of melted cheese and spices was simply divine, and we couldn't resist dipping the warm tortilla chips into it time and time again. The crab-stuffed peppers were a delightful surprise. Each bite was bursting with the flavors of fresh crab meat, spices, and cheese. The peppers added a subtle heat that complemented the richness of the filling perfectly. It was a wonderful introduction to the fusion of Mexican and steakhouse cuisines that Taco Vez offers. Moving on to the main course, the beef short rib tacos were a true highlight. The tender and succulent short rib meat was impeccably cooked and melted in our mouths with each bite. The combination of the flavorful meat, fresh toppings, and warm tortillas created a harmonious symphony of flavors that left us craving more. My wife opted for the Faroe Island salmon filet, and it was a stellar choice. The perfectly cooked salmon was accompanied by a citrus butter sauce that added a bright and tangy note to the dish. The grilled asparagus and coconut rice provided a delightful balance of textures and flavors, making this a truly memorable seafood entrée. I decided to indulge in the seared jumbo sea scallops, and they exceeded my expectations. The scallops were seared to perfection, creating a beautiful caramelized crust that gave way to a buttery and tender interior. The creamy sweet corn risotto and crispy bacon bits added layers of complexity to the dish, making each bite a revelation of taste and texture. To top off our remarkable dining experience at Taco Vez, we couldn't resist indulging in the heavenly 7-layer chocolate cake. This dessert was a true masterpiece that showcased the culinary skill and artistry of the restaurant's pastry team. Each layer of the cake was a symphony of chocolatey goodness, from the moist and rich chocolate cake to the velvety ganache and luscious mousse. The combination of textures and flavors created a decadent and unforgettable dessert that satisfied our sweet tooth and left us in awe. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed the Hot Commodity and Baja Nights cocktails. The Hot Commodity provided a spicy kick that awakened our taste buds, while the Baja Nights brought a tropical twist with its fruity flavors. Both cocktails were expertly crafted and perfectly complemented our dining experience. As the night drew to a close, we made our way to the upstairs bar and treated ourselves to the Twisted Espresso Martinis. The rich and velvety combination of coffee and tequila was a luxurious end to our evening, leaving us with a sense of satisfaction and contentment. Overall, our dining experience at Taco Vez was exceptional. The combination of Mexican-inspired flavors and steakhouse elegance created a unique and unforgettable culinary journey. The attentive service, delectable appetizers, and remarkable main courses left us with a lasting impression. Breanna and I will cherish the memories of our evening at Taco Vez and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly elevated dining experience.

Where can I begin with this amazing place! We found this place through social media, we were already intrigued by the way the food looked and the ambiance, that was just through pictures! We knew we had to try it! Made a reservation online, which was so easy and fast. We got there and on the outside the place is beautiful! It’s clean and plenty of parking space. We go inside our table was ready for us. We sat upstairs in this nice booth, it felt so romantic and perfect for our date night. The decor is absolutely beautiful! Everything was so clean and so well decorated. Everything just flowed so nicely. The music was perfect, it wasn’t too loud and the music choice was great! We ordered: Garlic shrimp- which was so delicious! The crostini that came with is was the perfect bread to have with the garlic shrimp sauce. The shrimp was cooked just perfectly. Beef short rib tacos- my absolute favorite! So delicious! So much flavor. The pickled jalapeño and onions was the perfect crunch to have with the tacos. The lime cilantro cream is amazing! (Try it with the yuca fries, even better) I had ribeye and my husband had the bone in filet with lobster tail. We like our steak MW and it was cooked perfectly! So tender! So much flavor. I can’t believe I ate a whole ribeye! That’s how good it was. For our sides, which are shareable for two people we had: Street corn- amazing!!!!! It’s literally so fresh. It was a recommendation from the servers. It’s a must have! Yuca fries- cooked to perfection. So crispy and delicious. For dessert we had the Churros- they had a chocolate filling with ice cream, my goodness to die for! I have NOTHING negative to say! Everything was worth every penny. The servers were so attentive, we had Luke and he was so sweet! We also had a young lady who I wish I could remember her name. But she was awesome too! Servers made sure we were happy and comfortable. The manager, Chip, was so nice and welcoming! Asked us if we needed anything and asked us if we enjoyed ourselves. I did like how as a manager he was fully involved! Helping in anyway possible. The drinks I had mango margarita, I had 4 so that says a lot! Lol delicious. My husband had Moscow mule, he has 2 and an espresso martini! So delicious. This made a perfect spot for date night! You can dress up and enjoy the ambiance and the food! This place lives up to its hype for sure and we can’t wait to come back!!!!

The service is excellent and would be the featured star of this restaurant. However, one thing to note is the open kitchen - looking into the open space is often entertaining for diners, but when many of the staff are milling about, it lacks the dramatic flair. Beginning with appetizers, my party ordered the calamari and the guacamole. The calamari was cooked perfectly and boasted a lovely light crispy exterior that was complemented by the seasoning in the fry batter. On the other hand, the guacamole was overwhelmingly disappointing. The menu details "smashed ripe avocado dressed with lime juice, serrano pepper, red onion, cilantro and served with warm tortilla chips." What we received was very green and more of an icy solidified salty puree rather than guacamole; if there was serrano pepper, red onion, and cilantro, then they were blitzed into oblivion and not visible to either the palate or the human eye. For the price, the tortilla chips were of the average nacho joint just down the road. The plating was uninspired and undermines the effectiveness of the entrees to come. Then the actual entrees. In my opinion, skip the appetizers (save for the tacos) and just go for the entrees. Here, no comments besides personal taste - perhaps a more adventurous spice blend or two and a bit of texture in the sweet corn risotto. Good food, but nothing overwhelmingly special and lacks the sensationality that comes with the price tag. Overall, come for the drinks and the tacos on your next date night.

When I encountered a technical system glitch while attempting to book a rsvp with special instructions on RESY to celebrate my husband’s birthday, I sent an email to Toca Vez’s owner, Mr. Ciprian Muntean (AKA Chip). Chip immediately and personally followed up with me via a phone call with a genuine desire to accommodate all of my requests facilitated through his two amazing staffers (Josue and Sarah). For starters, it was important for me to have intimate seating accommodations to celebrate my husband’s birthday in order to create a romantic atmosphere and with Josue’s two recommendations for the occasion, he delivered while taking into consideration my first seating option, a beautiful private dining area nestled away on the second floor of the restaurant called the “Blue Room,” the possibility that the Blue Room could be booked for a private party. Although The Blue Room was booked on the day of my husband’s birthday, Josue’s alternative seating recommendation was also beautiful, private and a coveted space we soon learned as well. It was discussed prior to ordering with our waitress in order to air on the side of caution with how I precisely desired for my Aged Steak to be prepared in terms of doneness, to opt for medium well first as I had to send my Steak back to the kitchen for it to be cooked a little bit more for my preference, in which my request was honored and received back cooked to perfection. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Boneless Short Rib Beef entrée as did I upon tasting it and my husband also fell in love with one of the restaurant’s Red Wine selections (Plant Oregon Pinot Noir). Chip made certain that my husband received a delicious complimentary dessert with a lit candle to cap off our wonderful dining experience. Please note that in addition to the generous appetizers and entrée food portions, Toca Vez transports you back in time with its timeless and elegant Décor without the stuffiness, adorned with a fusion of Spanish Colonial and Old-World Spanish charm with just a touch of modern. Surprisingly I also noticed that the restaurant showcased a portion of a Mediterranean Live Wall, which is a beautiful organic work of art you don't often see. When I inquired about it, I was informed that it was artificial, but still very much expensive as a great deal of work is required to maintain a "Live Wall". I highly recommend Toca Vez, to celebrate special occasions and my apologies to Chip for this delayed, but well...
