TFI Pools Installations — Local services in Mansfield Township

We bought our first home in winter 2020 that came with an above ground pool. We opened and used our pool throughout the summer of 2021. We started to notice loss of water by the end of August 2021. We tried to patch a “hole” that we saw, but had no success. We called this company which was recommended to us to mend the hole and close down our pool for the winter. A couple of weeks later in September of 2021, the pool was losing water which was obvious that there was an issue. We called the company to which their reply was, “We are closed for the season and cannot come to repair the situation. But, can come the following year in the spring of 2022 to reopen and that they could give us a discount.” If you look under the Consumer Guarantee Act, “If you pay a business to provide a service and its sub-standard, you can ask them to fix the problem under the Consumer Guarantees Act.” It was still warm out and not even 30 days since the job was first “finished.” This company did not stand by their work nor try to repair the situation. It is very unfortunate and seeing other reviews of their work and their low ratings on Google and Yelp; I would not recommend this company to anyone. TFI came to service my pool couple weeks ago. When they arrived, the pool was not open yet. I did not connect any hoses or fill the pool from the winter closing. They replaced my skimmer on above ground pool and replaced filter with new sand. At some point one of the technicians plugged in my pool pump, unbeknownst to me. The pump runs off of a timer and evidently was running dry (no water) for a couple of days without my knowledge. I reached out to them to explain the situation and my concern. They denied plugging in my pump. Once I was able to fill pool to appropriate level, I was able to test my pump. As expected, the pump leaked and malfunctioned. I reached back out to update them and come to a resolution. Management told me they were not responsible and would not provide me with a new pump.

I strongly suggest to anyone to find a different company for their pool service needs. Although technicians out in the field were pleasant, management would not provide any type of customer service. Management would not directly speak with me, everything was done through the office secretary. And ultimately management has no idea what customer service is about… denying any wrongdoing by their technicians and not providing the customer with a fair solution. Called around many places, never realized how difficult it would be to have a pool put in by so many companies. Seems like every company I called was either scamming or did not want to bother installing unless you purchased through them.... then I contacted TFI. Debbie in the office was AWESOME! she had me send in pics of my yard, got feedback from one of her installers, then contacted me right back, I scheduled, said I'd get a call at 7am day of install, I did, but got really worried as they said they'd be there around 1pm. How could they level and install a pool if they only get here at 1pm? Boy was I wrong!... the crew showed up at 12:58pm. 4 guys, quick convo and they went to work like a well oiled machine. SUPER IMPRESSIVE! the crew would just go 1 step at a time and sometimes not even talking to each other but yet each guy knew what was next. They really have their system down nice. I watched the entire leveling/install. They did such an awesome job and I noticed them paying attention to all details. Really couldn't have been more pleased.
