This is definitely an old school place. I tried to call to order and the line was busy. That was it. I had no other options; no online ordering and no "thanks for calling can you hold please". I just had to wait and try again and hope that no one else called first.
I order, I get there and then find out when I'm about to pay that there's a $1 fee. Yes, it is on the menu, but I'm not reading the ENTIRE menu; I'm looking at prices and what they have. When I order on the phone it would be nice if they'd ask if I'm paying by card or cash.
I really wish business would get with 2025 and realize that most people pay with cards. Price your product accordingly. If you want to give a discount for cash, great. But don't make it an added fee for everyone else.
In regards to the pizza itself, nothing special. The crust was good - typical crispier thinner crust. Not ultra thin, which I really don't like. It would have been good with a dipping sauce. The biggest thing that was not great and why I rate this a 3, is the cheese. It just wasn't as melty and gooey as pizza cheese should be.
I'm from the west coast, and maybe this is just the east coast style of pizza, I don't know. I've had a lot of wood fired pizza from a lot of places. Nothing...

However, in the past 3–6 months, something seems to have changed. The sauce has become watery, and the crust feels heavier and more doughy than before. The slices don’t hold up the way they used to, making them harder to eat fresh and even tougher to reheat later. At first, I thought it might have been a one-time issue, but after about nine orders recently, it seems to be consistent.
I truly hope this is something that can be fixed, because this place has been a staple in my life for decades, and when it’s at its best, it really is the greatest pizza in the world. I’d love to see it return to the quality that made me a...
Read moreThe pizza is delicious; no problem there. The food truck was at Rock God Brewery, in Danville, two weekends ago. We got two pies to take home and they were fifteen bucks a piece which, I had no issue with that. Fast forward to this past weekend when the food truck was again, in Danville at their Spring Fling. Imagine my surprise when I saw the price went from fifteen to twenty four bucks a pie! I understand there are probably registration fees for these little festivals but a nine dollar increase over two weeks is a...
