I am completely shocked at the reviews I read. My brother and I stopped in for breakfast Saturday morning (5/29/21). We were seated quickly at a table next to the door. On the opposite side of the door sat a family with two small children. Although I admit that the kids were a little loud and obnoxious, I don't think that it's appropriate for "Brooke" (the waitress) to swear ("Jesus Christ") under her mask as she walked by our table because of it. I also don't think it was appropriate for her (or any employee for that matter) to literally applaud when the family left or comment to SEVERAL tables "thank God they're gone." On to the food... I ordered a half of a steak sandwich. Our server (I think someone called her by the name of Kathleen or Catherine maybe) asked if I wanted peppers on it. I said no. That was my only request. As you can see from the photo, that was too much to ask. My brother's breakfast looked like quite a large portion - until he picked up the toast that was on top of it. Part of his breakfast was cold when it arrived at the table. Upon us both noticing filthy silverware, we asked the server for new settings. They were dirty as well (with food, not water marks). We asked for yet another set, and they again had dried food on them. She came over the last time wiping off the silverware with her towel or apron, whatever it was. She said, "We don't have time to dry our silverware on the weekends - they aren't as dirty as they look." Well, that about did it for me. My brother had a cup of coffee. The first cup was fine, but when he had a second and put a creamer in, it curdled. I looked at the expiration dates on the creamers - 4 out of 5 were "expired." For $31 for two people, I expected at least clean flatware and creamer that wasn't expired. We joked that people must eat there once and never come back, but the customers clearly knew the servers and other patrons. I'm actually SHOCKED. I think it would be quite ironic that this only happened to us. Maybe all the reviews are written by the employees or their families. Will NEVER go back. Strongly recommend never...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at Cozy Corner, previously known as Patsy's Place, was less than satisfactory and stood as a stark contrast to the outstanding service and food quality we were accustomed to under Patsy's ownership.
Upon entering the restaurant, a sense of nostalgia washed over me, reminding me of the wonderful times spent at Patsy's Place. Sadly, the euphoria quickly faded as we began to notice the significant drop in service quality. The dynamic and attentive service that was once synonymous with this establishment was replaced with an almost apathetic approach, with the staff seeming less engaged than before.
Additionally, the trajectory of the morning waned progressively with prolonged wait times for our meals. Despite a lack of customer presence, it took almost an hour for our food to emerge from the kitchen. One would expect that such a delay would ensure well-prepared and flavorful dishes, but the result was opposite.
My dish arrived with undercooked sweet potatoes, lacking both texture and seasoning. This seemed representative of the overall plate, which was a mere shadow of the hearty, flavorful meals formerly served at this location. The reduced portions further added salt to the wound, providing little justification for the inflated bill that followed.
For a meal that comprised a single dish, two sides, and a serving of four mere strips of bacon, paying over $30 felt exorbitant. In the past, such a sum would have guaranteed pleasingly rich and substantial servings - something quite unrecognizable in Cozy Corner's existing offering.
In conclusion, Cozy Corner, for all its nostalgia and potential, has sadly missed the mark. The lesser service, combined with below-average food preparation and unreasonable pricing, makes it hard to wield the same affection I once had for its predecessor, Patsy's Place. I hope that the feedback conveyed serves as a stepping stone for substantial...

What a disappointing experience at The Cozy Corner Cafe.
My recent visit to The Cozy Corner Cafe in Bethel Park left me with a rather underwhelming experience. While our server was attentive and friendly, the overall dining experience was marred by a lengthy wait, subpar food quality, and a disappointing prioritization of takeout orders over those dining in.
Upon seating, we were informed that there might be a short wait for our breakfast orders. However, what we initially perceived as a brief delay turned into an hour-long wait, leaving us questioning why such an extended period was necessary for simple breakfast dishes.
When the food finally arrived, it was evident that the wait had not been worth it. Two of our orders had the wrong eggs, and the toast was unpleasantly hard. The shrimp and grits, which we were particularly excited about, were a major letdown. The shrimp were overcooked and had little flavor, and the grits were bland and overcooked as well.
While the shortcomings of the food were significant, the greatest disappointment lay in the prioritization of takeout orders over those of in-house diners. It became apparent that the owner, who was also the chef that day, was focusing more on preparing food for takeout than on ensuring a timely and satisfactory experience for those dining in the restaurant.
Despite the efforts of our attentive server, the overall dining experience at The Cozy Corner Cafe was far from satisfactory. The lengthy wait, subpar food quality, and prioritization of takeout orders created a disappointing atmosphere that overshadowed the positive aspects of our visit. I would recommend that potential diners carefully consider these factors before deciding to visit The Cozy...
