I was so delighted to find Babe's Bar. I have been avoiding it, because the redneck dive that was there before was so unfriendly- and I like dives, so that's saying a lot. I had decided to give Babe's a try, and somehow have managed to miss it a couple times because they'd been closed for one reason or another. Third time was the charm, and this place truly is charming, from the guys (owners?) behind the counter to the decor, architecture and character. Between the undesignated bathrooms is a changing station. Truly a safe space for everyone. A plethora of non-alcoholic options but also cocktails at both a quality and price that would make a New Orleanian tip his/her/their hat and settle in for the evening.    Read moreIt's great that Bethel has a venue like this with an awesome selection of cocktails, quality liquors and drink specials. The vibe is very inviting and inclusive for everyone. I love having a neighborhood bar with friendly hosts to just go and hang out. And if you want an awesome piece, Cockadoodle is right next store (best pizza ever!) and I think they will bring the pizza right over to you.
