I went here the other day with some family, and the ice cream was so amazing that I think I had an out of body experience. I ordered two scoops - the honeycomb and the mountain mint - and the honeycomb had plenty of pieces of, well, honeycomb in it that were light, crunchy, and delicious! The mountain mint was a pleasant surprise. I had no idea that the mint ice cream I had before this wasn't the true mint experience. They use real, backyard, home-grown mint in their recipe, with small hints of chocolate. I have no idea what the negative ratings are for. I saw something about this place not being great for kids??? Are you joking? There is a set of giant mega connect-four outside and an entire magnet spelling wall. And kids LOVE ice cream, so... what are you talking about? There is also enough space and seating to where kids can wander about freely and everyone can be seated wherever they want very comfortably, and the decor is downright adorable! I also bought some of their merchandise, namely a pin, and was gifted a free sticker! They sell some of their own ice cream by the pint, which we were sure to grab several of for our cooler, as we live a decent bit away. I was also interested in their aprons and hats, but I might buy one on a different trip up. Something else I adored was their commitment to cleanliness. I have worked in food service and have been to other places that had much to be desired, but not here! I can tell that the employees here care deeply about their work, and will be sure to take another trip up here soon! Seriously, I cannot commend this place enough and will tell...
Read moreStopped in today for the first time, had heard the buzz. Took advantage of the taste test - and you should too. After 3 tests of overpowering weirdness, I went with a classic ice cream sandwich. The level of salt was WAY too high. Not sure if it was in the sweet cream or cookies, and I’m someone who is 100% OK with salt on my chocolate or in other things. This was WAY over done. My son’s cookies and cream had stale GV Oreos in it and I brought a pint home. More French vanilla flavored than “cream.” Sprinkles embedded seemed weird, but decided to try it. Meh. Hubby got Maple and Coconut. Strangely, the maple was excellent in that it was creamy, understated, and not too strong. The vanilla we tasted was so strong it was too much-and again I LOVE vanilla. Coconut was just right, but a water base (vegan) and kind of icey. Wanted to love the place, but for $40……I am more demanding on quality. I think the ingredient quality is there, but they are clearly still working out the flavors and recipes. Will give it another go...
Read moreThis was absolutely the best ice cream we have ever had in our life. Me and my wife was camping in a cabin in Lisbon and hiking for 4 days. We are devoted followers of Jesus Christ so obviously hearing a town named “Bethlehem” we had to explore! Two amazing churches up the road, cute town (not impressed of the LGBTQ agenda being pushed) very sad to be honest but we will pray on that front. We don’t discriminate against anyone at all and we love all but having flags stating someone’s sexual orientation is very displeasing and sad. Back to the ice cream, blueberry basil was AMAZING!!! And I don’t even like basil lol. I had that and the maple and my wife had the mint chocolate chip and cherry almonds. The only thing with the cherry we can say needed more attention was she bit down on a seed and almost cracked her teeth :( the price was high but reflects the fresh natural ingredients. That we did not mind! LGBTQ agenda and the seed stops this from being...
