Our coffee group rotates to various venues over the years. We haven’t been kicked out of any, we just rotate! So we have lots of experience and perspective.

This new venue has definite promise. It’s a reincarnation of Stone Bru, same great coffees we used to experience at the Dunes site. Clean, friendly staff, prompt service for coffee. I haven’t eaten there, but my companions thought the breakfast items were fine.

So here’s my most salient suggestion: I strongly suggest attention to the background music and “auditory ambience.” On weekend mornings your crowd is likely there to drink coffee and chat, not to yell over KG95 Katy Perry pop music and long commercials, all played too loudly over multiple ceiling speakers one cannot escape.

Please select SiriusXM or Spotify commercial free background music, playing at low volume to chat over. Be flexible to pick music appropriate to your customer demographic present at the time.

The drinks are great (because they’re Stone Bru) but the food… especially the lunch food, is abismal. I ordered a chicken caesar salad and it took at least 30 minutes to arrive (I dined in). Considering the chicken on the salad is clearly pre-cooked (likely packaged, not cooked in house) chicken, there was no reason for my food to take as long as it did. The chicken was odd, had some weird chewy bits, and one of my sides of dressing had exploded in the box by the time I got back to work, covering the container it was in, in the dressing. I get coffee through the drive through here fairly frequently on my way to work and one issue that I keep running into lately is being stuck behind multiple cars who have ordered food and they are not being told to pull forward into the waiting spots. They were pretty good about doing this when they first opened. This happens a lot during the morning rush, but I have encountered this at other times of the day too. I enjoy getting coffee from here and the employees at the drive through are always great, but I can't always justify waiting 10-15 minutes minutes in the drive through...
