I left an item with over 800.00+ in value at the counter while checking out at this store. I didn't realize I had left the item there until I went to use it again about a week later. It was a box of Scrip fundraising cards that my church uses to raise money for school tuition and was labeled with my name, address and phone number. I had taken the box out of my purse to use the McDonalds scrip I had recently purchased. Inside of the box were $800- 1000.00 of other scrip cards and gift certificates my 8 yr old received for her birthday. When I called the store the person who answered the phone had said they had it, but weren't sure where the other manager who was there that day had put it. She would be there in the morning and I was told to come by then. I stopped by that night anyway and was told by other employees they had seen the "pink box" and weren't sure where the manager had put it. One even asked my name and she said yes, I saw you rname on that box. When I returned to the store the next morning the manager told me she didn't know what the other manager had told me, but that she didn't have it. I asked if she could ask around and stressed the value. I even offered a reward. Her story then changed and she said she was the one who had found it at the register and had put it away. She also stated that she tried to call me but they were having problems with their phone. I never received a phone call. When I said," Well how could it have been here one day and then not the next?" I suggested an employee had possibly taken it and she agreed only staff had access to it and she said nothing more to me. I filed a police report, stopped in another time and talked with the general manager, as I would want to know if an employee or if something like that was going on in my business, especially if money or other items are missing, or just so they are aware. Police stopped by the store today and found similar gift cards to those I had in the box in the manager's wallet. Coincidence? You decide. I realize it was my error in leaving a valuable item at this store, but recently heard from the police that the McDonald's managerial staff are not interested in finding out who took the items. McDonald's corporate should be aware. I have told others in the area about my incident and when they ask which McDonald's and I tell them North Sioux, their response is "I believe it. That place is disgusting. I'm...
Read moreCannot express how mad I was.. I pulled right up to the ordering area, it was 9 pm. There usually are not many eating at that time. I placed my order... 1 Happy Meal with a cheese burger, fries, yogurt and chocolate milk. I pulled ahead... It was there that the wait began. We sat there for so long that I finally shut my vehicle off, at least 10 minutes had passed by. I said to my 25 year old son.. this has been the longest I have ever waited at a drive up window. Also, making it worse, I have a hungry 4 year old in the back. Another 5 minutes pass, we finally make it to the first window to pay.. All that is said to us is sorry! We have a girl up there working that is talking to everyone.??? Another 5 mins or so pass.. we make it to the pickup window... She hands us the chocolate milk only and walks away.. You can't even see her in there doing anything She comes back and tells us to pull ahead because they have to make the fries.??? We wait another 5 to 8 mins for fries?.. Finally she brings out the Happy Meal box.. We drive home like many times... Get the box open and the food is cold as can be... no hint of warmth. The baby fries are cold and about half gone. We should have drove off like the car ahead of us did... I live in this community too... Wow... took me at least 25 mins in the drive up...I would give a 0 star rating for tonight, but that's not an option. I'm sure McDonald's would love this great customer service story.. oh almost forgot, the second window lady gave me a coupon for a free small coffee or small fry....Not even an apology from...
Read moreThey don't care about truck drivers at all! They made me stand outside in the drive thru line in -30°F. It was night, so it was hard for the cars to see me. One car got close to hitting me. When I asked if I could go inside because I'm a truck driver, I was told repeatedly that I had to walk through the drive thru. Again, it's night and -30°F! The staff were completely unapologetic about the situation. I understand not allowing people to dine-in and even requiring them to wear masks inside. But there are people who need to get food in a manner that is unsafe for a drive thru (i.e. by walking or riding a bike). Those people should have the ability to get their food inside and leave. This is the only food next to the truck stop and there's no food in the truck stop. This is literally the only option without having to cross a busy road. Either open your inside for people to be able to get take out orders while wearing a mask, or make your drive thru large enough for semi-trucks. I know the suggestion of modifying your drive thru is ridiculous, but so is your policy of making people walk through the drive thru. There are other ways you can protect your staff from COVID and still serve customers without putting them at risk of freezing or being run...
