The Iron Mule — Restaurant in Bismarck

The Iron Mule. I thought it was just a Bar, Burgers and Frozen Pizza when I moved here a few months ago into a smaller place. It's just me now, my Husband has passed and my Granddaughter bought her own place and moved out. I had to learn to cook for 1 and cut my food bill in half , I learned real fast that the cost of cooking for 1 was about the same as 3. So for the 1st month I ate leftovers 18 times that month .The Next Month the only groceries I bought were lunch meat and Breakfast foods and I started eating out for Supper, at 1st It was Fastfood because I thought it was all I could afford. Until my Friend insisted THE IRON MULE , Wasn't just a Bar. It's a Restaurant with a full menu with Great food and better prices than my favorite restaurants in St.Louis. The minute I walked in everyone was so nice . The service is great, I loved my waitress I was seated right away with a menu and in minutes I got my drink order and shortly after the food arrived it was Hot and smelled almost as good as it tasted. They pay attention to details Now 3 friends of mine from St Louis come down and eat Supper with me there once a week. Plus no Cooking or cleaning .. plus I have Saved $140 on Food in the last 2 months. Not counting the Money I'm saving on the Electric and Water Bill by not using the oven or water...

Great service with knowledgeable and truly polite wait staff. Clean environment, great atmosphere with a multitude of televisions broadcasting things from sports to funny stuff and stuff like automobile rebuilds or hopped up rides. Now let me get to the food! I visited twice in a two week time period with my best friend. We ordered different items each time. I had wings, in different flavors, a cheese burger with onion rings, then the pulled pork nachos. He had wings different than mine as well as the crispy chicken salad that was mega huge! Every bit was savory, each food hot & I can't wait to go back and try the pizza, gumbo & Po Boys. Many different types of Po Boys. I want the shrimp Po Boy! I would suggest this place to anyone as well as with their children or just a group of friends. We were on vac at Fort Davidson Inn (5 ☆} and I called in an order to be picked up. Outside looks like a sportsbar/restaurant covered ,outside seating available. Walked in and the place in immaculante. Big fireplace, the sports bar was off to right and was nice!! The seating area had booths and tables and was very spacious with areas of seating I couldn't see but saw people coming from these areas. Food was outstanding. I had the porkulisous piled high with their homemade slaw. My wife had the grilled chicken nachos(also have pulled pork nachos) and were a mile high. Our appetizers were fried breaded mushrooms and pretzel sticks as big round as a polish sausage!! They were out of their big seller " big azz pretzel " but both appetizers were excellent. They also sell pizza I heard was good also. Anyways try it!! Yoi will not be sorry. Our whole order was 42.00. Very satisfied. Next time we will...
