Beckeys Kountry Kitchen Bakery & Restaurant — Restaurant in Blissfield Township

I hate having to leave a review like this as the food is truly great at Beckey's. I remember great experiences under previous ownership, but this experience was anything but. The biggest issues were not receiving items that were advertised in the menu and getting upcharged for things that were included. Besides all this, we were the same items 3 times after food was delivered that were forgotten as part of the original order. One person in our group ordered the jambalaya, which was under the section showing two sides with fresh bread, and the item description showing it includes a soup or salad. The server informed us that item did not get the two sides but did include a soup or salad. No big deal as that seems pretty reasonable for the entree. However, when the bill came, there was an additional $4.99 charge for the soup. The same thing happened to another who got the beef and noodles (again, was told the soup was included from the server). After asking about the charges, the server said they are included as part of the menu item but the buttons don't let them take things off, so they charge additional for it. Most of our group have been customers for years, and there is no chance...

My biking buddy and I are always on the lookout for a good breakfast stop on a long bike ride. This restaurant was recommended to him, so it was our mid-ride destination today.

First impression was good — very cute interior and wonderfully friendly staff. The array of fresh baked goods — pies, quick breads, muffins, etc. were a feast for the eyes, and the smells coming from the kitchen made our mouths water.

We were seated promptly and in no time had placed our order. When the food came, all I could say was, “Oh. My. Gosh!” There was SO MUCH FOOD! I ordered the French toast breakfast — eggs, French toast, and choice of breakfast meat. I was served two HUGE pieces of French toast and three massive sausage patties, along with two scrambled eggs. The order came on TWO plates!

My friend ordered the Two egg breakfast — two eggs, potatoes, choice of breakfast meat, and two full slices of toast. His order also arrived on two plates!

We feasted on these delicious breakfasts and stuffed ourselves.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back! I’m looking forward to trying the fried chicken and homemade pies...

Their food has always been good but their customer service is awful! That is from the owner himself! Stopped in yesterday and looked forward to a good meal, did a bit of shopping prior to stopping and had a lb of shrimp in our car, didn't want the shrimp to get bad as the weather was pretty warm. Brought a empty sandwich sized baggie and asked if we could get some ice to keep on the shrimp, they said NO, said we would pay for it, they said NO, THEY SELL ICE ACROSS THE STREET! Left and called to complain and spoke to Randy Becky he said he has been having trouble with his ice machine and he doesn't sell ice! Only wanted a handful! He was very inconsiderate and didn't care that we left! And they had no other customers at the time. As much as I liked their food I will not give them another penny of my money, I told my friends and family of the incident and they couldn't believe he couldn't accomidate our request for a small sandwich sized baggie of ice. You lost a lot of business because of your rudeness! Wonder if the health department knows of the issues with the ice machine.........
