On Saturday I had the chance to visit crab bagz. They had a special event that night, which was musical bingo( which I went to many of the bingo events and had an awesome time). They were packed, and severely understaffed. Me and my two friends arrived at the establishment at 745pm , and we were able to have a seat by 8pm. We ordered our food and drinks when we got seated. We didn’t get our food and drinks until 945. We didn’t get any waters while we waited, and our waitress went missing in action and she never came back to our table to check in on us. ( we all thought she quit) we did have another waitress come at the hour mark to ask for our order again.. what made us believe the order was never put in. She( new waitress)apologized and stated the drinks wouldn’t be on the bill. So we were ok with that. When the bill comes we noticed that the drinks were on the bill. We told newer waitress what was told by the other waitress. Then a Man approached our table very aggressively and said “ all drink made need to get paid for “ and we said that the waitress told us something different. He said “ I’m the owner and all drinks need to be paid for” so we asked him why would she say that. He “ she isn’t an employee” .. so we all looked confused , and said the lady behind the bar doesn’t work for you. She the other waitress brought her over. He started yelling at her in front of everyone , unprofessional. Then the owner got on the mic and stated “ the night is over, everyone got to get out” it was other tables who didn’t even eat yet waiting for there food. Then my friend stated he doesn’t know how to talk to woman and don’t know how to run a business.. he’s yelling at her saying check my resume and cussing a yelling at her. She stated she was going tell her man . He said tell who ever you want, I don’t care. As an owner of an establishment you need to learn how to de-escalate a situation. You made the situation worse. You obviously don’t know how to react in stressful situations.. you literally failed your stress test Instead of trying to get Keith Lee to your establishment.. try to get the guy from bar rescue there. He would’ve put you in check yelling at paying guest.. and I’m not the one to complain I’m very to myself and quiet.. but this gotta be heard. And I feel sorry for his wife who is also an owner. She seems so nice and sweet. I hate that she has to deal with a man that an hot head like that who doesn’t work well under pressure. And the sad thing is I’ve been here before, when it was myself and another guest in the whole restaurant.. and I really thought it was decent… not the best but decent. And I advertised them for the musical bingo on all social networks. And to be treated like this.. Such a slap in the face, won’t ever be back! God bless, I pray things gets better for your business, but you really have to work on...
Read moreI’ve done takeout twice here with no problem. Today, July 6th was my first time dining in. I will start by saying I am not sure if the restaurant is capable of taking care of a table that has more than 4 people, or it was just a bad day for them. It was not crowded. Normally, seafood boils take 15-25 minutes to be made and served to you. Our food did not come out for an hour and 15 minutes, also including that someone at the table did not have their seafood served at the same time everyone else’s came out. I had to go up to the waitress to inform her of that because no one double checked to make sure we had everything at our table. Let alone checked to see if we needed refills or anything. The waitress simply forgot to tell the cooks about that order or the cooks over looked the order. I’m not sure who was at fault for that one. So we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for a bag of shrimps and sausage. Oh also, someone’s crab legs were slightly cold!
The second thing that I am concerned about are your waitresses/waiters not informing customers upon being greeted that there are items they are out of at the moment. It would be great to know that once waters are being served, so that we’re not disappointed by saying each food item out loud that we’d want.
The last thing is the professionalism on how things should be handled in these kinds of situations. We have the head chef coming out in non working attire, talking to those who do not have their food (there were other people who were waiting just like us). He was fine but I’m sure others do not want to speak to him as he cannot do everything except cook. The manager or owner is the one that should be checking on the customers without them asking for her/him. You should be aware of what’s going on in the establishment. No one is asking for food to be comped, but drinks should have been comped.
Nothing was shown of compassion or understanding from anyone at this establishment. Nothing was handled correctly. It was someone’s birthday at the table and not even a free dessert was given for the birthday girl. That is just poor management all around, very disappointed for my first dine in here.
Aside from that, the place is super clean with no gnats at all. Our waitress was nice about everything and not...
Read moreI would not recommend this establishment to anyone after my experience. As a first time customer genuinely excited to support a small family owned business I was extremely disappointed in what happened on a date night out. The communication from the front end was terrible and poor communication on the front end means poor communication on the owners' end. We ended up sitting for about 40+ minutes for a simple pasta bowl (which was missing the paremsan when the name of the dish was cheesy garlic pasta bowl) and fried shrimp basket. It was not busy when we arrived so I can only assume no one was sending tickets to the kitchen. We were charged for multiple things without anyone telling us there was an extra charge( garlic bread was supposed to come with my meal and noone told me so I ordered a side of garlic bread + noone let us know the sauce was an extra $4 they just asked what sauce we'd like) Never once did the owners ask us how our service was going or compensate us for the wait while they were fully aware of how backed up their orders were getting. As my first experience here it left a bad taste in my mouth which is very unfortunate because the food itself is actually pretty good the owners just don't know how to run...
