Tucked into a little strip just off Woodward with office buildings all around, this suburban deli is probably the antithesis of a NYC deli: quiet, relaxing, more like a coffee house with food instead. They do a heck of a takeaway business as I found out while I ate in. An avuncular gentleman greeted me well before I made it to the counter. Great sense of humor, too. He joked with the other staff when not waiting on customers. I ordered a full Chicken Greek grilled wrap. Everything is available as full or half. Full wraps are $13, halves are $10. The other sandwiches are similarly priced. Only had to wait a couple minutes for my sandwich to be made. It was mildly flavored, the Greek/Italian dressing & feta really the only flavor involved. No olives, lots of iceberg and some tomato accompanied the chicken, as well. A touch dry, too. Plenty of seating if you want to stay. They even have electrical outlets under benches so you can recharge your electronic leash, I mean, cell phone. There is a restroom but you have to go into the kitchen...
Read moreThis place is INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! The staff was nothing but a mixture of dismissive to outrightly rude!! After politely waiting 20 minutes for ONE SINGLE SANDWHICH, I inquired if the order was coming. I was told I was rude for asking by staff in the back of the house.
THIS PLACE CALLS THEMSELVES CATERING YET, in my personal experience, are extremely inept at producing even the smallest of orders. Whats more, when an order is late: one should apologise and then rectify the issue.
Instead of acting appropriately/professionally, the staff chose to ignore me until I had to ask, and then continued to be more rude than helpful. I left with the promise to leave this review & then never to return to this crumby location. It's downright offensive they kept making new walk-in orders with absolutely no thought nor care of the 1 single item I had been waiting on.
Whether youre a customer or a food delivery person STICK WITH PANERA!!! This place doesn't...
Read moreJust went here for the first time and the food was fine. Two stars for the table of loud, incredibly rude and mean girls that were sitting there making fun of the other customers. I know it's not fair to rate the place based on these customers but they all seemed to be friends/family of the people that worked there. They were loudly making fun of this other customer to his face because he had a bandaid on his nose and were asking him if he "wanted some nose candy". These girls were well into their 20s too, not middle school like you'd assume. You'd think that the workers of this place would tell their friends/family members to maybe at least whisper when they berate and make fun of their other customers....
