Horrible experience! Blamed the mistake on the customer? Really??

First, they need to update their menus. They also need a manager that knows how to manage a restaurant. My husband ordered the special fish tacos, which doesn’t say it comes with rice, where everything else says that it does. So he ordered a side of rice with his meal. Our server brought us an extra side of rice, and the server told him “This one does come with rice, that’s why I asked you if you wanted an extra side.” She didn’t ask that. That never happened. She never told him it came with rice and their menu didn’t say it.

Their menu also states that there is a “regular, jumbo, large, and monster” for sizes on daiquiri’s. I ordered the “regular”, size - the cheapest and the smallest.. right? Wrong. The server brought me the “large” size. I mean, it was big, but what do I know? I ordered a “regular” size daiquiri (listed on the menu as the smallest). They charged me for a large - $3.75 more than a regular. When I told the server it was the wrong size, she was hesitant, but got her manager. The manager came to the table, and said that she can take $2.00 off of the price of our daiquiri, but that I.. the customer.. need to be more “specific” on the size that I order. She told me to order a “small, medium or large.” I asked her then why the menu lists the drinks like they do, instead of “small, medium, large” like she is saying? Her response was: “I would just be more specific next time and say small, medium or large. It is a confusing thing we have, but just say small medium or large.” Then she walked away and only took $2.00 off my daiquiri. She never apologized. Not once. Instead, put the blame on me. Really?? What terrible service. Never...

We have been to several other El Loro locations and they were ALL better hands down! We started our visit standing in the cramped waiting area where they have one 2-3 person bench. They did not have a host or an organized method of seating people and seated a group that arrived after us before we were seated. The mariachi band would have been better if they played to everybody instead of focusing 80% of their attention on only one table of obviously drunk women...kinda shady when the restaurant band is exchanging phone numbers with drunk patrons in front of everybody. Then the service was horribly slow. It took an hour for us to be served food...that's crazy slow at 9pm on a Friday with 25% of the restaurant empty. Then they got 2 out of 4 meals wrong. Missing ingredients...how do you forget shrimp and add steak or forget rice and beans in a burrito??? FACE PALM! Horrible! We made our server aware of the problem and he brought out a plate of rice and beans...maybe to dump on the burrito? No shrimp was offered. No refund or discount was offered either. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION UNLESS YOU LIKE LOUD, SMALL RESTAURANTS WITH MACK DADDY MARIACHI, POOR SERVICE, SMELLY WAITERS AND EATING WHAT THEY GIVE YOU...NOT...

If I could give a zero I would. I went two nights in a row and received the same poor service as i did 4 weeks ago. The staff seams very mad if you come after 9pm. I am a nurse and I work saving lives for 16 hours. Both Friday night and Saturday night I got there at 9 pm and before posted closing time on door 11 pm. Two nights in a row the staff was extremely rude. The elderly man who is there almost every day ordered our appetizers and never came back for our dinner order. When he appeared with our cold appetizers he informed us the kitchen now closed since the last time he was at our table (9:15 pm) He said he could get it Togo for us. So we said ok. 20 mins later he came with our cold entrees on plates. Taco shells wet and soggy and cold enchiladas. This was after we were giving benefit of doubt from n the same horrible experience the night before. I know everyone in this townhouse community right down the street as I am the president. I will no longer recommend you restaurant due to the poor service, and the pregnant lady is worse than the old man. Zero stars learn people to not support these...
