A good friend of mine, Matt Deal, had made a TikTok about this place and how they had shawarma. So I had to check it out that day and I’ve been hooked since. That first day I made the good mistake of ordering the spicy chicken shawarma and the falafel. And I only say mistake because it was SO MUCH FOOD. The wrap they use is chewy and perfectly textured. The chicken was well seasoned and grilled to perfection. And the falafel was fantastic. You can really tell they put their hear and soul into what they make.

Today my son and I went for lunch and I ordered him a small pepperoni pizza and the spicy steak shawarma with fries for myself. The pizza came out and was gigantic for a small. Crispy and melty in all the right ways. The shawarma is HUGE!!! I can eat a good bit and I never am able to finish the whole thing. My son was interested and even wound up eating 1/4 of mine by himself. But today they also surprised me with a sampling of their lamb kebab they use for their kebab and rice and let me tell you, it was so flavorful. Garlicky and full of spices with that smoky grilled flavor you want.’next time it will be a hard choice for me between my regular and this.

The owners and people that work there are the nicest people and welcome you on like you’re family. They put a lot of work into delivering great food and visiting with them is every bit as good as the food. My only regrets about this review is that I didn’t take pictures of our food because we were so busy eating it but you should definitely try it out. You...

This has got to be the ABSOLUTE SHADIEST PIZZA PLACE on the planet. The woman in the Chador that runs the register is up-pricing EVERYTHING on the menu. The first time I stopped in here was for a plain cheese pie that was on the menu for 9.99, but somehow the bill came to $13, the woman said it was because of the tax for both VA and WV which sounded shady but I was hungry so I paid and left. The pizza at best WAS MEDIOCRE. The next time I ordered a Calzone which was supposed to be 8.99 and again this same lady charged me 9.99 and said because I wanted the calzone to be made with Ricotta cheese??!! RICOTTA IS AN INGREDIENT IN ALL CALZONES Why would I be getting charged an extra dollar for a BASE INGREDIENT?? Makes no sense. The bottomline is watch YOUR BILL VERY VERY CLOSELY because this lady will rip you off for a dollar here and a dollar there and in a larger order that can add up real fast. VERY SKETCHY AND VERY SHADY CHARACTERS run by Muslims who know nothing about customer service or PIZZA. God awful place and complete rip-off. Sad part is the woman in the Chador appears to be one of the owners!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY...

The food was mid, but the service was horrible. Why? Because they don’t charge you according to the menu prices, they charge what they want. When I confronted her about it, she said it’s because things are more expensive now and did not care that the menu was much cheaper. She also increased the tip that I left without my permission after I added a to go baklava last minute which was just in a fridge and I retrieved it myself, and she charged a dollar more for it than the menu advertised. It all came to just under $27 for a plate of spaghetti, side salad, a drink, and the individual portion of baklava at lunch time. I’ve bought steak dinners for cheaper, and regret not doing so since Applebees is across the street. I was trying to be frugal, but wherever these people are from originally, I guess it’s not illegal to tell you one price and then charge you something completely different when you’re finished. Pay attention to your bills, because they don’t give you an itemized receipt, just one with...

EDIT: I just tried the XL Ultimate Calzone, PLEASE do yourself a favor and order that if you love cheese or want something pizza-like. Legitimately the breading is perfect, the cheeses blend so well- this is without exaggeration one of the best foods I have EVER personally tasted. Their calzones in general are PERFECT, but that one took me straight to achieving Nirvana. Okay, onto the old/main review! I absolutely love Joe's, you really can't go wrong with all the choices of food here! From all sorts of options on pizzas and quality dough and sauce, to their absolutely PHENOMENAL shawarma. (If you like spicy food, ask for "911 hot."😉) Falafel is very nice as well! Prices are so generous for the sheer amount of quality food you get, you really can't ask for more! The fantastic food and atmosphere combined make this place a no-brainer if you're in Bluefield and need a good dine-in or something delicious to-go. Staff are incredibly sweet and kind, they know how to keep a hungry customer happy and returning! ☺️
